Name 5 creative black movies. Name 5 epic black movies. Name 5 black directors.

I'll settle for 2 of the first two.

Black directors have their niche market and as long as that's making them a little pocket change, there's no reason to for them to change anything.

dont forget the athlete profession. sometimes they will go over the top and try too hard and do the doctor and lawyer thang ( bill cosby did that already so get off of that tip). how come they cant do things like a teacher and an accountant or a engineer or a scientist. now white folks have dont that like morgan freeman played a pres, star trek had a commo officer but when it comes to black production.

also dont forget its hard out here because WF are holding me down themes.

Here is a movie just off of the top of my head.....

the scene: Black couple where the hubby is an auditor for a sports clinic (healthsouth scandal that popped off in the late 90's early 2000's) spots fraud but gets killed and the wife uncovers why he got killed while her fellow cops try to portray it as an accident thus she goes the fuck off with massive revenge. the woman committs total carnage and destruction and all the while she has flash backs of her and her hubby of happy times.

Death at a Funeral was a goddamn remake of a British film that wasn't even ten years old. That's all Chris Rock writes these days are remakes of European films. And you guys are using it as an example of a good black film?

And by the way considering the black female of the flick is the love object of the two white males in the movie why do black men even support that garbage? White guys go nuts if they see an IR moment betwee a black man and a white woman in a damn commercial, but black guys actually pay to see stuff like "The Bodyguard". I mean I'm glad you guys aren't insecure but there comes a time in which you have to start voting with your wallets.

And did someone mention Roots? Roots?!?

The movies I know as "blaxploitation" are the ones that were demonized by the Intellectual Negro Establishment because they portrayed blacks (specifically men) as heroes in action films. Because Tyler Perry films are buffoonish, that't okay with the NAACP because they sprinkle dashes of false Christianity. They wouldn't call that "blaxploitation".

Black men have been bred and raised to be weak minded individuals who can't think for themselves other than what their women tell them to think.

That's gotta be a strict AA household kind of thing because Caribbean boys are taught to be heads of households and lead the family. My mom rarely got final word growing up.

You are absolutely right about that.

For the list of good black directors

Carl Franklin directed 'One False Move' a very good movie. 'Devil in a Blue Dress' w/ Denzel, pretty good. 'High Crimes' and 'Out of Time', both better than decent. Some of his movies have few blacks because the are novel based.

Forest Whitaker is a good director and great actor of course.

    F. Gary Gray is good.

Sidney Poitier great actor to say the least and good film director,

1972 Buck and the Preacher, one of my favorite westerns
1973 A Warm December, good black love story thats right I said it!
1974 Uptown Saturday Night, good and funny
1975 Let's Do it Again, ditto
1977 A Piece of the Action, ditto
    1980 Stir Crazy, ditto

I have dated WW who like that garbage as well, to them it is a harmless chick flick. To me it is nothing but, a minstrel show made by a cross dressing homosexual.

Always leads to an interesting discussion.

Black America is a matriarchy, where everything is run by women. Thus we have generations of Black boys that grow up to be punks.
