Here's a trailer for this new AMC series "The Walking Dead", which is based on graphic novels by Robert Kirkman.

This is gonna be sooooo fuckin good. I hear its also gonna be pretty brutal/gory.

Kudos to AMC for taking a chance with this show.

Always have been a huge fan of cheesy horror movies, B movies, and Zombie movies. This looks pretty cool. Hopefully it'll be good, a lot of the newer zombie movies and related stuff I've seen have been really bad.

The comic was really intense too.

One of the things that I like about this is that it's not a comedy. Not that I don't like some horror comedies, but I prefer if horror in general has a more serious tone like this.

I need horror to shake me in my boots, have me squirming because I can see that happen to me...like Hostel, or the original Saw.

I do love the Hellraiser series and the Excorcist movies, but I know that can't possibly happen to me.

But Hostel? Sheeet, how many times travelling in Europe did my g/f's and I willingly go hang out with some men from Italy, Denmark, or Germany, etc.(hell even in the USA). I shudder at the risks I've taken in life.

I'd have to agree that movies where the killers are human do have that added realism factor. Other type horror flicks require at least some suspension of disbelief.

IMO some of the supernatural themed movies don't seem as far fetched as they once did. Probably due to so many reports of paranormal shit happening to people in real life.

I remember a time where if someone claimed to have seen a ghost they would be laughed out of the room. Nowadays you tell somebody about a paranormal experience, instead of laughing they come back with a couple of their own stories. LoL

From what I've heard this wont be cheesy at all. Sounds brutal/gory with a really dark tone to it.:smt038

Sometimes i'm definitely in the mood for cheesy. In fact there have been many times i've bypassed big budget A-list movies in favor of a good low budget B movie.

You should check out some of the Italian horror flicks from the 80's if you haven't already.
