Now, a new study goes a step further by showing that employers seem to treat women exactly the way the fashion industry does – by rewarding very thin women with higher pay, while penalizing average-weight women with smaller paychecks. Very thin men, on the other hand, tend to get paid less than male workers of average weight. Men earn more as they pack on the pounds – all the way to the point where they become obese, when the pay trend reverses. http://blogs.wsj.com/juggle/2010/10/06/for-women-it-pays-to-be-very-thin/ so yea think about that when you are eating but just don't go over 207 pounds.
im just sayin when we think of women, we think of a shorty. you know, someone who weighs less and is smaller than men in general. when we think of a guy, we think of a man. Someone with the stature to defend the home-front, and lookout for their family. Someone to go out and kill animals, sling them on their backs, and hump them home. i guess mentally, people in general still think that way, and are predisposed to like them. depends on the job too. I dont know too many skinny 5-0 around this city. Many of them are as big as me, especially them husky ass SWAT guys they show in the paper.
Weird, I know there was a study saying TALL men make more money than shorter men, but I didn't know fat men did too. Weird. I'll take the tall CEO, not the fat one. kthnx.
It is not based on looks, it is not about who you want to have sex with or be seen with, it is about presence.
True. Our earliest ancestors as humans in Africa were small like Pygmies and San Bushmen but, the modern sized Black African man populated the entire world, why because their size and strength made them successful hunters which meant they would have almost all of the women and thus more offspring. Eating all of that protein gave them bigger brains which meant they had more skills as well. These early Brothas spread around the world in search land, game and above all more women (actual theory in Scientific American Magazine). You are right Petty, nothing much has changed.
Exactly, botoan! "Presence" is exactly the word I was trying to think of when I was reading through this. I tend to be attracted to larger BM (whether that is overweight or built doesn't matter much to me), because I like men who can wrap me up in their arms and smother me. lol And, in my experience, they're the ones that generally have the most confidence- don't care what other people think of them- and if you give them a chance, they will rock your world within an inch of your life. LOL I'm sure that's not the case for everyone- just my meager experience. Anyway, I know several executives who are larger men, of all races, and they all seem to have that same quality...presence. Even if they're not the biggest one in the room, they're still the biggest presence. There's something about them that just dominates, and I think because they put their entire selves into whatever they're doing, at the risk of most other things...that authority they have from experience and knowledge just gives them an edge.
LOL! Did I just describe your work self pretty well then? I do have a thing for dominant men...always have...always will. There's something to be said for someone who can put his hand on my shoulder and give it a gentle squeeze and I'm instantly ready to jump his bones. Not many men have that quality....and you can't fake it. I *adore* it, so I tend to pay attention.
Now that DREW CAREY has dropped more than a few pounds for health reasons.....I guess his days as emcee on "The PRICE IS RIGHT" are numbered, yes? (That's as in he's gonn abe laid off very, very soon...) OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
My bf's uncle is a cop for the Dallas pd, and he's HUGE. Not an ounce of fat on him, just pure muscle. He's also 6'5. I'd never wanna get pulled over by him. I'd piss myself. o.o
You know what's funny mad people agree with this but if you said fat people including women all hell would break loose lol
