Like your opinion. Which is a guess, btw. I was going to note to arch ('unless it was a sex themed class'), however as I mentioned, she has publicly stated that she intended it only for the eyes of her 2 friends, one of whom sent it to someone else, who sent it to someone else.......and here we are. Even if we engage your "Fallacy of the Fallic Symbol in Contemporary Forms", I'm sure like all good writers, she would change the names to protect the guilty. (which she didn't)
Some white men are sexually aroused by the notion of the women that they're with being representative of the lowest social denominator (e.g. porn star, trailer trash, etc.). In subject 4's fantasy world, he desired sex with a white woman who regularly defiled herself by sleeping with black men. And perhaps he is self-aware of having a "small" penis, and seeks to deflect harm to his ego by imagining himself fucking her with a big black one.
Oh touche! I love many of your posting. I will say though that it isn't just white men who are sexually aroused by sluts.
Iunno...kinda seems like there's this idea that you can be a little more rough with a 'slut'. Something a little more visceral than how you might tag someone with an opinion that matters. A person of lower status than you 'can't' look down on you for your short cummings!:smt088 I'm not completely sure subject 4 thought it to be a defilement. Could be some 'submissive' thing. Though a glance around the net would probably show the 'negative' to be a common belief with folks interested in this type of cuckold stuff. Never thought that people with 'alternative' sexual interest would be so upfront about them with someone they've just only met.. Anyways, 'twas an interesting read. I hope all involved will be able to move beyond this!
there were women on GMA giving her the " you go girl " then they talked about it is likely the men will not sue because of the social stigma . think about will the guy sue because he got a good review or what about the guy who had the small penis review or the minute man review. If it were women , no matter the review, he would get sued and they would win. yeah no matter what race ..... they will get with a slut/whore but will not marry one.
Sue for what, Goodlove? She never handed this in as a thesis, nor did she publish it as a book..essentially its like a diary, or a privately made sex tape. Men for centuries have notoriously talked sexually about women. It's how word got around, who was a "slut, who "wasn't" resulting in bad reputations. Men have also been gossiping for ever about how they gave a woman the good one, in intricate detail no less. Women don't sue over men discussing their sexcapades, and aren't about to start.
So the double standard is bad when women commit it, but let's ignore the double standard about men not marrying a whore. (like she's fucking all by herself, lol).
To be libelous, the issue to be proven is falsity of her statements, or what she is representing, as well as an intention of malice. Defamation may be their route, but again, the extent/context of her public intentions have to be taken into account.
the pundits on GMA and other talk shows and news media stated that it is a possiblity of slander and defemation of character. will they do it is one thang. women from what i understand have sued over this before...Im not sure tho.
I think it's kind of funny that this article led to debate, but then admittedly I've only skimmed over the article ... maybe if I read it in detail, I'd care about these guys or something? Because it seems like the men arguing are sympathizing with the guys in the story.. I dunno, while I'm sure it sucks for them (like the buy with his "big black cock" dirty talk) I don't think she actually did anything illegal. For comparison, think about the story of the gay kid who killed himself, whose roomate had recorded him having sex with a dude and broadcast it on the internet. IIRC, there were only a couple of misdemeanors you could be charaged with, if you did that to someone. Having sex with someone, and later doing into explicit detail in describing the experience to others? It might not be cool, but I don't think it is illegal. Anyway, I mostly wanted to respond to the bolded bit, because I think a lot of women think men talk about sex in a lot more detail than they actually do. That is, the idea of men going over their exploits in a locker room or something -- I think that's more popular myth, than any reality I've actually seen. I don't know, maybe other guys' experience has been different, but from what I've seen, the most a guy is likely to share is whether he's hit it or not. And even there, maybe I've just known weird guys, but really even the average guy I've known isn't real likely to go yelling to everybody that he's screwed some girl, unless there's some reason that detail would be somehow relevant. Just consider, the basic (humorous) point of her little thesis here was rating these guys, right? How good or bad it was? Well, if a guy does say to a group of other guys, "Hey, I had sex with the blonde over there..." I really doubt any of the other guys is going to wonder whether it was good or not. Even with best friends, I've not tended to actually share much in the way of detail about anything sexual, and pretty well my close friends haven't tried to share in detail what they and any partner have gotten up to. I think, as with other things, this is a place where women just tend to share more with each other than guys. In fact, I think that's really why this story is a scandal at all. Men are horrified to think this kind of detail might be easily shared about them, if they hook up with someone. Eh. I accepted what a female friend told me, a long time ago: Once I've slept with a girl, I should just assume that everything from penis size to where we did it to how many times will be shared with all her closest friends. I'm sure that's not true for everyone, but I do think it's closer to reality to think that way, than to assume that everything that happens in the bedroom is going to be completely known only to you and her...
it is to a point a myth men talk about their exploits but it is a myth that women dont talk about their exploits. also men would trade notes about a woman so a man would not fall victim to a whorish past that would bite him in the ass. when I say whoreish Im not just talking about sex ... Im talking about a woman scandalous ways that could get a man robbed or killed. so yes men talk just like women talk
Now that you mention it, I suppose the most common kind of sexual information I've tended to see guys share is kind of warning someone off of a girl ... generally, some kind of assertion that she's a super slut or somehow otherwise a chick you shouldn't get involved with. These condemnations usually don't come with any kind of specific information though, they are more along the lines of a universal/moral condemnation of the girl... That's always kind of funny to me though, because unless what you're complaining about is how she played emotional games and broke your heart (or cleaned out your bank account) or something like that, I can't see why I should be concerned. You're warning me that I should stay away from that girl because she's easy? Yeah ... I'll get right on that...
