This article breaks my heart. My heart & prayers go out to these families. I can understand the kids' pain. I went through hell in junior high due to bullying & I was so depressed I actually tried to commit suicide when I was 14by taking a bunch of pills. Thankfully I only got sick & no permanent damage was done. Afterwards I started getting into a lot of fights, and most of the bullys quit picking on me.
That's fucking disgusting. I don't care if they are kids, some of them need a good ol' fashioned beating. Nothing else will do. Fuck the sensitivity nonsense. Some kids won't get with just words. Too hard headed these days.

It was hell, but I'm stronger because of it. As far as my bullies go, I don't have any animosity for them anymore (getting to that point wasn't easy). I had to forgive them so I could heal. When my son was born, I worried that he'd go through what I went through. I worried that it would be worse since his dad is black. Thankfully he hasn't dealt with as much shit as I was afraid he would. He's always been confident, outgoing & not afraid to fight if he had to. He's never let any bullshit phase him. He's always been a tough little shit! I love him so much & I'm so proud of him!
I can see why. He sounds exceptional and much like a leader. In all, this madness has to stop. I think if parents of bullies were held accountable, they'd watch their children's mean streaks much closer! How often do we hear the parents get wind, and half of them defend their bully kids. The law gets on parents in regard to truancy...time now for bullying.
Thanks, K! I hope he continues on to be a great man (he's 18 now), especially since I raised him by myself. It's hard for a woman to teach a son how to be a good, stong man, but I think I've done alright. Bullies' parents definitely need to be held accountable for their kids' behavior! Too many refuse to accept responsibility for their kids by ignorin or sometimes encouraging the behavior. A lot of kids learn the behavior from their parents. The kids & their parents in a lot of cases could use professional help. Parents of both bullies & the bullied need to learn how to teach their kids how to treat others & how to deal with being mistreated. My mom's advice was always, "Ignore them & they'll leave you alone." & that shit does NOT work. One of my younger brothers was picked on a lot, too & another one became a bully himself. My parents spent more time defending the one that was a bully than they did helping those of us being picked on. I think too many parents get defensive because they are more concerned with how the issue reflects on them, so they refuse to acknowledge it. So, nothing gets done. Something needs to be done ASAP!

I always wondered what makes bullies bullies. As for parents getting involved, too much parent involvement is ruining this country. We have become a bunch of over sensative little bitches. Its to the point where I have friends who are teachers who won't get involved in a school fight because they are scared to death of litigation. I got one friend currently on suspension because when a boy was pissing in his classsroom he grabbed him on the shoulder to tell him to stop. He's currently waiting while the school investigates the kids sexual harassment claim. Its to the point if parents try to discipline their kids they have to face charges so the kids coming up are left to the cops who rarely have to apologize for cracking a few heads. Its fucking pathetic.
