You know how you know I'm a hater? Because I don't care who wins the Championship, as long as it's not the Heat.

You never heard of that? It is a term made up by former Lakers coach Pat Riley. It follows a re-peat which is two in a row. Three-peat is third in a row. Get it?

Actually technically, a three-peat would have to be four in a row as as you repeat for the second time when you win a third consecutive.

I have really come to despise Shaq as a player and as a person, but even at 38, he's still in the Top 5 centers in the league. Though that isnt saying much given the dearth of quality centers in the league. Centers these days are either jump shooting softies or low post beasts who have no offense going for them. Gone are the days of high caliber centers like Hakeem, David Robinson, Kareem, Wilt, Parish and even Shaq who could score in and defend the paint. Shaq, for all his troubles, is still one of the premier low post scorers in the league, and when his minutes are managed properly, he can still be a force to be reckoned with. Gone are the days where he gets 20-25 shots a game but nonetheless, he can still give you 14 and 8 on any night. I may be in the minority, but I don't think his move to Boston is a mistake. I actually think they'd beat the Heat if they meet in the ECF.

Agreed. For all the pomp and hype surrounding the entry of Lebron and Bosh in Miami, there's been virtually no talk about how small that roster is.

Big Z is a 7-footer but also a classical European player in that he tends to score from the outside and will not bang with anyone in the lowpost. Haslem is an undersized power forward and Bosh isn't known for taking or dishing out punishment down low. KG is supposedly back "in form" after 2-3 years of decline, but he owns Bosh with or without being at 100%.

The East still needs to figure out how to power through Perkins, KG, Big Baby, and now Shaq in order to make it to the Finals.
