Nope, with Facebook, texting, emailing, and other websites that bullies can go and spread their hate against your child, there absolutely IS no place for your child to go to feel safe nowadays.

My daughter told me a story about a girl who came up to her in her after school program who told her to move out of her seat because this girl wanted to sit where my daughter was sitting. My daughter refused to move (yay her!!). I told my daughter that she needs to stand up to those types of children because they will eventually learn that they can't push her around and that they'll leave her alone because of it.

I only hope that's the case, but I can't believe at age 8 she already has to deal with stuff. I only hope she continues to remain open with me about her experiences at school.

Click on the video below of the enraged father who confronted bullies on a school bus who were abusing his daughter. I applaud this man. He is what black men use to be like. I stand with him. If a bully ever touch or commit mental terrorism on a child of mine i will deal with the sons (or mistress) of bitches as well. You meet terrorism with terrorism.

The video is still valid despite the note above it. I hope this comes up for you. This form of domestic terrorism along with crime must be met with the force of law or parents will take actions into their own hands.

oy people missed his apology afterwards. The way he handled it was in a bully motion. He came in and bullied not only the boy messing with his child but threatened the bus driver and all the other children. Some how I doubt you would want a man threatening your kid just because they happen to be on the bus and had done nothing wrong. I also don't think you would be happy with him threatening you if you were on the bus. This is not a good example of what a black father should do. He has to now deal with charges because he went in their like a crazy cowboy. It is not the wild wild west. I don't doubt that this guy isn't a good father. He even gave an apology that he overreacted but that was a poor example of fathering. As he said it, It was out of character for him. Had he gone through the right channels, the child would have learned how to use the legal system to defend herself instead of seeing how the legal system is used for people who overreact.

Where did he get the gat from?:smt107

What the kid should of done was take the gat to class. If one of them bullies tried a little something, he should of pulled it out like

"Sit your five dollar ass down before I make change":smt070

Ah the classic case of bullying, my friend did an excellent report on bullying
that explains the dangers and such, discussing about how bullying is viewed as normal is actually a dangerous ideal set we have nowadays. Statistics shows that the number one case of suicide for kids under the age of 18 is due to bullying. Bullying is also the number one reason for kids to shoot up schools, and one of the top three causes for a kid to not gain their education, as the more time a kid deals with a bully, the less time the kid has to focus on schoolwork and education.

As for kids changing their opinion if you stand up for yourself, that's definitely not always the case. On many occasions, it's not about defending yourself but essentially winning the fight if you get into one, because on many occasions, a bully will actually bully you ever more if they know that they can defeat you in a fight. So if you don't win that battle, you are screwed.

Japan has recently took a huge stance against bullying, due to the also increasing amount of suicides that's happening their as well. Teachers jobs are at risk now if they do not confront and prevent bullying that happens within their classroom. They are actually working on a few laws to prevent bullying their, I only wish we would take it more seriously here. But as a country that likes to let people fend for themselves with no help at all, I don't see that happening.

Lol! That's what my mom used to call my son's "dad" (I call him the sperm-donor) because she saw him dressed in overalls & a purple shirt once!

I finally got to that point myself! I got tired of being treated like I was shit on somebody's shoe & started fighting back!

It was like my daddy once told me: "It doesn't even matter if they kick your ass when you fight 'em, as long as put the hurt on 'em! That way they'll know you ain't gonna take it & they won't fuck with you again!".

It worked, too! The last fight I was in was my junior year in hs on the school bus with a guy (he hit me first) & I whipped his stupid ass! lol

That reminds me of the boy that tried to bully me in second grade... He was a third grader that picked on me because I was a runt (LOL, I was tiny).
I eventually got so pissed of I somehow managed to put him in a headlock and run his head into the granite wall in the stairs...

Noone ever picked on me again:)

    Now that's what's up lol.

I use to get picked on by two girls in middle school. To this day it still bugs me a little because I was absolutely forbidden to hit a girl so I never knew what to do.
