I say 4 three boys and one girl. Honestly, I want to see how it is having one. That will be the decider if I want more. If I don't like the first one, I'll just send him back. lmao I kid I kid. My limit is 6 or maybe seven but my minimum is 4. I'll let the wife decide what number she wants but it has to be in between 3 and 8.

As I grow older, I feel that I'm going to bow out.

Anyone thinking that they're going to feasibly support more than one child with a volatile economy or without wages that keep pace with inflation is dreaming.

    Thanks Mr Hefner.

Here is a table on income needed to rasie a child. They adjusted it this year, I think, upwards.

    http://moneycentral.msn.com/articles/family/kids/tlkidscost.asp

    The Cost of Raising Children
The table below shows the estimated annual costs of raising a child, based on a survey by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The table shows costs based on a family with two children on a per-child basis. The data comes from the Consumer Expenditure Survey by the U.S. Department of Labor, conducted from 1990-92.The figures have been updated to 2001 dollars using the Consumer Price Index.

The USDA ends its cost survey when a child legally becomes an adult at age 18. It does not include any estimates for sending your children to college nor does it offer any cost estimates if your child remains in your home as a dependent after the age of 18. The College Board reports that in the 1998-99 school year, a resident student at a four-year private college will spend about $23,578 a year; a student at a public college will pay $9,008 a year.

See the footnotes¹ below for further information. If you're a single-parent family, use the Single-Parent Family table.

(it won't let me link the tables)

I have one son. I'd maybe like one more in the distant future if I met the right guy. Preferably a boy but as long as he/she is healthy I don't really care. I'm a twin but luckily identical twins aren't hereditary. I really wouldn't like to have twins.

You can still have your three. You get hitched with a man who means business and has super sperm. You would just have to stay barefoot and pregnant for a few years.

My son is four years old. His mother - my ex fiance, called off our marriage at the beginning of this year. I would like more children. I would like to get married; but I screwed up with my ex. My mother can't stand her because she's 8 years older than I am - and divorced. My dad thinks I'm a sucker. My life is a little complicated right now...

My ex taught me a lot about myself. Would you marry Chelsea Handler? That's who she looks like. My mom thinks she put a spell on me. She may be right...

I have one daughter that means the world to me. I would have loved to have had 2 or 3 kids. I want at least one more, but my biological clock is ticking and almost ticked out and no one on the horizon who might give me another child.

    Sucks.

But if my daughter is all that I'm blessed with, then I can consider myself very lucky because she's the bestest!!

Not more than 2. 1 is no good because he/she won't have anybody to fight/learn/fraternize with. 3 are way too many, lol. So 2 i perfect.
It seems like american families are wider then ours, and I notice you guys want a lof of kids. An average family here is having serious problems raising 2 kids, can't think about having 4 or 5.
I don't want to be like Seven Heaven's mum. I wanna LIVE too.

I want to have seven children.

Four girls, three boys. That number alone, they could give me many, many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren! I came from very, very BIG family.
