I think that had more to do with the fact the country was going through the dpression and people were starving. There wasn't an abundance of food for people to get fat off of. But I don't know if I agree with the idea so many people will be fat. We live in the Jersey Shore era where everyone is obessed with abs and GTL. When I go to the gym there seems to be a lot of kids in there now. Back when I was in hs it was only dudes who were on hs teams that would be in there but now the gym is pretty much packed from 12pm to about 8 or 9 so I don't know if I can cosign this.
.....and MMA/UFC(because everybody thinks they're a fighter these days. No, daydream, this isn't a shot at you).
Its just frustrating to see this cause its completely preventable with a little self-discipline of eating & exercising. Good points though regarding how we live in a very fast paced life style. Everyone is on the go and not really taking into account what they are shoving down their mouths. But for me, working out and eating right is so easy. I guess its just the way I was brought up. I learned a long time ago that my body is my temple and you only get one of them, so take good care of it. It just boggles my mind to see people let themselves go completely and become blobs. And I am not just looking at this from a superficial point of view. But I guess this is great news for all the chubby chasers on here. There will be plenty more fatties for you to chase lol.:smt042
Ennyone see the movie "WALL-E"? And the humans whose bodies, from generations of inactivity, atrophied sooooo much to the point where they were nothing but literally living bags of lard? Pretend as ity *might* be now.... Me and an associate were discussing it all some time back... ..and we came to the agreement that....given enough time..with more and more gourmand activitiy, and less and less physical activity.. Mankind may very well see that sad scenario for their future.. By then I hope I'm dead. Long dead..... OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Tonight we dine in hell!!! You bring up a good point but for those who are small or weak that's gonna suck
lol i need to get up on my 300 game, and watch the movie again not sure where they found 300 muscle-bound American males, for the roles tho shiiiiiiiiiiiiet
I like to keep myself in shape to look good and for health reasons, but what I seen in the Washington, DC area is embarrassing with the overweight people in the city. It is painful to see overweight women waddling on/off the DC Metro and see them take up most of the seats on the trains and buses. I personally, will not date a woman who weighs more than I.
YOW! Am *I* otta th' loop when it comes to what I *assumed* that the physical state of the D.C. citizens were.. I naiively thought that the fiefdom was a fitness nut kinda area. Yer not alone in that assertion, m8.. Me & Mellisa *do* maintain a regular fitness regimen...after all ya *don't* get a heluva lotta exercise pushin' a pencil around a piece of paper on an animation lighttable....nor do ya staring down the viewfinder of either a CANON *or* a PANAVISION camera. 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Toon, of course there are plenty of fit citizens in the Washington, DC area unfortunately, many overweight people outnumber them. The American media will show "the beautiful people" walking around cities to make the country look good but will hide the fact that USA is getting fat.
