*IF* ya know where MY head is at... Then you KNOW I hafta opine I sure as hell HOPE not... Still & all, with the way the Parliamentary votes have come in... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11378565 http://www.thelocal.se/29144/20100921/ ...who the hell knows WHCXIH way the future will swing? Though I *do* admit I *am* rather ambivalent about whether there should be a 'cap' put on the immigration gig there.... ..for many reasons... Just my tuppence, folksies... And *please*.....don't consider this thread as aping the attitudes, musings & opinions of DenzBenz.. (cringe) OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
In any case, we've gort to keep an eye out on these Parliamentary goings on. Both in Sverige, and the Rest of The World At Large. OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Can't blame them...the people pouring in sure wouldn't allow the swedes....or anybody esle....to bum-rush their country.
I say in time most of Europe will go the way of the "far right movement". The muslims immigrants will bring it about. The Serbs are saying they had the right idea to exterminate the muslims in Bosnia. The Germans are becoming alarm by the increased immigration of muslims into their country. The French nationalist movements inspired by Jean-Marie Len Pen and now his daughter Marine are trying to redefine French politics because of the muslim fear. We will see a resurgence of Skinhead movements in England and Russia if both of these countries are hit by a surge of terrorists attacks by muslims. The muslims will someday deal with an intolerant Europe as the europeans themselves fear that their countries are being taken over by muslim influence. Already there is a fear here in America that it is being lost to the Mexicans and Muslims. Will we see the emergence of someone declaring a final solution?
10 or 20 years, perhaps... Or better yet....long after I'm dead.. 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
They are extreme rightwing for Swedish standards. However, you need 4% of the vote to get into the "riksdag", they have been around for a while and never made the 4%, this time they just got a bit over that. I would not say that 4% vote is showing a trend towards Sweden becoming an extreme right country. I have no worries whatsoever, Sweden is a Socialdemocratic country to the bones and that will not change anytime soon. Its embedded in the Swedish sould. Mark; socialdemocrats should not be misstaken for socialism.
Sweden has done well in wake of the global economic crisis. It has not suffered a crippling recession nor is its debt ceiling as high (43.2% of GDP, 2009) as it is in other European nations like Greece, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain. The Swedish electorate may have shifted to the right in response to a perceived incursion of alien values, but one should not discount the relatively good job the center-right coalition has done with the economy. That said, the souls of the Swedish people are generally the most tolerant you'll find anywhere.
Hell no!!! More than 94% of the voters in Sweden rejected this ultra-ring-wing fringe group. It's a shame however, that they barely got enough votes to obtain seats in the Riksdag (Parliament). BTW, the peeps in Stockholm took to the streets a few days ago to protest these racist cretins. The founder, Akesson, is a straight-up coward. He's in hiding, and too scared to walk the streets. He'd get killed -- without a doubt! The Kid Rasta
I was waitng for your personal perspective on this... And it *is* duly appreciated, yes? OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
