    **distracted--5 times? Damn**

Any of us may do the same under various circumstances. We are all human. But you ACKNOWLEDGE that is was cheating. You're not in denial. You didn't preface your comments by saying, "I've never cheated".

That's not a guy thing, I take the same approach. I rarely hold anything against anyone, you have to really fuck me over to get me to just write you off. I always think there are too many things at play that contribute to discord, maybe the person's not feeling well, maybe they're having a shitty day, maybe they feel guilty about something and what you said brought that to the surface, maybe they just have a chip on their shoulder, some insecurity that your comment triggered, hell maybe their dog died, or their partner dumped them... point being, you never know what's going on in someone's life, or what past experiences they have to draw from, but those things do impact their perspective and opinions. With that many unknowns, I don't see the point in holding them accountable for something they've said for the rest of their lives, life's too short for there not to be second chances... and thirds... and fourths...

Dating a minor is not illegal, having sex with one is. As previously pointed out I did not have sex with him, fortunately I found out about his wife before we reached that point. However I always dated older in my teens, as much as 10 years, no one ever had a problem with it. Of course I didn't have parents to answer to at the time either, so there really was no one to complain. I was more compatible with older men, boys my own age just didn't interest me, I really thought the majority of them were immature idiots.

I'd like to ask for clarification on this Andrae please. LS mentioned that she slept with a man who she thinks was dating someone else, he wasn't married. So in your mind is that cheating, or does cheating only apply if one or both people are married? I guess I'd like to know where you draw that line in your head? What about someone who is engaged, or living with someone, is that on the same level as someone who is married. What about people who are just dating, no legal commitment has been offered or made, is that cheating in your mind?

this had me LOL'ing on the floor

    oh you'd like that, wouldn't you :p

I keep saying, if you don't want people to formulate opinions and ideas about you, don't post suspect shit on a public forum. If you are, it gives us the impression that you don't care if that personal trash is public, and you don't care if people will have at it. It's like posting a head-shot and being upset when it's found on other websites.

I expected this sort of response from you...for some odd reason. ;) But you know what they say about fighting up-hill battles, right.

    and
    nothing but net

if you broke it down any further, the shit would be subatomic.

Well as far as my comment about LS I would have probably said something nasty in response to her obviously snotty comment. But as far as cheating is concerned I think its wrong on all the scenarios you listed just in different degrees marital infidelity being highest degree of betrayal because at that point you're a family. Anyone who can shit on a family member like that isn't an honorable person in my book period.

i just like playing for the losing team, that's all

must be the philly sports fan in me :smt029

but honestly...we all judge...when Malikom was being a prick, many of us came to a conclusion about him and his actions, without even trying to ascertain why he was that way (or walk a day in his shoes, which is the catch phrase of the day here), as a person. Judgment was past and he was cast away without any remorse.

put the shoe on a different horse, and all of a sudden it's a 'bad thing to do.' Why do we judge? Ooooh you're all bad and evil for doing so.

A law or way of thinking for one, should be good enough and applied to everyone, right? If we're going to judge a fool of a being such as Malikom by his actions and textual imput, we're going to judge TS by the same standard.

Snotty? I didn't see it that way but whatever. Simply stating that I don't really care if people "judge" me like others are complaining about. I know it was wrong in hindsight so I'm open to people saying what they want. They're not telling me anything I don't know already. So go 'head, be nasty if that's what you want.

My opinion is that getting with someone who is in a relationship is completely different to cheating on your own partner. I didn't commit to anyone, I didn't break any promises.

Thank you Sir Nose, but at 16 I considered myself an adult and I should have paid better attention. To clarify though, when I said I'd never cheated I based that off of my personal definition in which cheating involves sex. If however you define it as dating and emotional attachment to a married person, then under that definition I did cheat even though I wasn't aware of it. Being unaware of it doesn't change the fact that I did it, and that I'm culpable. If I'm unaware of the traffic laws and I run a stop sign because I don't know I'm supposed to stop, the cop who writes me a ticket isn't going to let me off the hook when I tell him I didn't know better, he's going to tell me it's my responsibility to be aware.

Oddly I'm agreeing with just about everything you've said in this thread today. I think passing judgment absolutely involves stating fault of some sort. You can say I don't think what you did was right, and that's an opinion, but if you say you were wrong and you have no morals, that's both opinion and judgment IMO. I know that's probably splitting hairs, but for instance you commented on the apparent contradiction of my saying I'd never cheated and then admitting I dated a married man, and I didn't take that as judgment. But then I know no one is in a position to judge me for anything I've done or will do, so it would be unlikely I would take any comment as judgmental... you could tell me I'm a whore and I'd just take that as your opinion and realize that you don't have the background upon which to make such an assessment anyway, therefore the comment would hold no weight with me at all.

Y'all are right. I shouldn't have shared it. I shouldn't have taken anything for granted. I'm just a ingenuous person. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with me. I'll learn for the next time.

Cavs aint shit without Bron'Bron now ...they salty like a bag of chips

But we do have Mike Vick...he's definitely got his weight down and returned to his prototypical scrambler form (he's still got that quickness AND a decent arm). McNabb was like that when he first came in, then Andy Reid made him get husky as shit and turned him into a pocket QB.

For the record, not only do I not think that TS is a bad person, I know that she is a very good and sweet person, with a good heart. I have never met her but her persona comes through, and in the two years I've been around here I can see that. Passing judgement on character is never what this was about, at least not for me.
