CBS is taking a page out of the Hollyood Machine's Feature Film Handbook..and is thinking with their cokespoons...as opposed to their brains....

Least THAT what it looks like to ME!!

Messing about with a tried-and-true CLASSIC telly series, The legendary Hwai'i Five-O...and giving us a reimagining, retooling...a freakin' retread, IMO.

This isn't the only series 'updating' they're giving The Treatment to..

The ROBERT REED-E.G. MARSHALL classic "The Defenders" is another target of theirs..

The Defenders (The ORIGINAL series) was a BRILLIANT drama series and NOT a comedy..

And in the ORIGINAL 5-0, Kono wasn't a girl....

So my take on it all?

    Defenders, take a *dive*...

    And Hawai'i Five.....NO!

    'Nuff Said!!!!

    women need more roles..

they know the canon for the original Five-O, but that show was created in times when it was hard for black actors and women, to land solid roles. That's why you're seeing blacks take on parts, originally written for whites on the big screen. You can't hate one thing without hating the other.

The female character COULD have been "Sharon", introduced in the farewell season of the Classic "Hawai'i Five-O"..

Widowed when her Detective husband was killed, she assisted Steve & Co. to capture the killer, and was subsequently invited to stay with "Five-O", where, with Big Mo & Duke (Danno moved backto the mainland, and Chin-Ho was killed in the line of duty), she was to remain until the end.
