Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was hit Thursday with three more felony charges in a domestic violence case that already had him facing a theft charge.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger significantly raised the ante in the case alleging that Mayweather hit and threatened the life of his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, and threatened to beat two of their children during a pre-dawn argument at the woman's home a week ago.

Mayweather, 33, is one of boxing's most recognizable figures, with a record of 41-0 and 25 knockouts. The welterweight goes by the nickname "Money" and earned more than $20 million in May in one fight in Las Vegas against "Sugar" Shane Mosley.

Mayweather remained free on $3,000 bail pending arraignment Nov. 9 following his arrest last Friday on a felony grand larceny charge.

Authorities alleged he took cell phones belonging to Harris and two of their children following the altercation. That felony charge carries a possible sentence of five years.

The new criminal complaint filed Thursday added two felony coercion and one felony robbery charge along with one misdemeanor domestic battery and three misdemeanor harassment charges.

Convictions on all eight charges would increase the possible penalty Mayweather could face if convicted of all charges to 34 years.

My comments weren't based simply on Floyd but floyd and mike Tyson(since there is another thread on him). I want to know if having a violent profession make you more probable to convict violent acts. Ultimately, he was charged with 8 crimes and not found guilty or innocent yet. You can charge anyone with 8 crimes. It doesn't mean they did the crime.

Eight charges -- including two felony counts of coercion for threatening his children -- have been filed in Nevada against Floyd Mayweather Jr. stemming from a domestic violence incident last week, according to reports in Las Vegas.

Mayweather also has been charged with a felony count of robbery and one of grand larceny, in addition to four misdemeanors -- one for battery domestic violence and three for harassment, according to reports in the Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Las Vegas Sun.

According to a police arrest report made public Monday, Mayweather threatened to kill 30-year-old Josie Harris and her new boyfriend during an argument early Sept. 9 at a home in southwest Las Vegas, and stating, "I'm going to have you both disappear," according to the report.

Mayweather's lawyers on Monday denied wrongdoing on his behalf.

"We are confident the full picture will come out in the future and clarify the situation," defense attorney Karen Winckler said.

According to the police report, Mayweather was angry about her relationship with another man, and both say Mayweather grabbed Harris by her hair, hit her and twisted her arm while yelling that he would kill her.

The couple have three children, ages 7 to 10. Harris told authorities they had a 15-year "on and off" relationship, and lived together for seven years before separating in May.

Police say Mayweather threatened to beat the children if they left the house or called police.

According to the police, Koraun Mayweather, the oldest child, said he saw his father "hitting and kicking" his mother. When Koraun tried to run from the house, James McNair, an associate who had accompanied Mayweather to the house, blocked the door, the Review-Journal reported.

The newspaper also reported that according to the police account, Koraun fled through the back door, climbed over a security gate and asked for help from a guard.

Harris was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.

Mayweather, 33, was arrested and jailed briefly Sept. 10 on an original charge of felony grand larceny for allegedly stealing Harris' iPhone. He was released that day on $3,000 bail, and the district attorney's office said at the time that it was reviewing other charges.

A court date for Mayweather is set for Nov. 9.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

I do not think these are false charges. This piece of trash beat the mother of his children in front of them! I used to be a fan of his but, I cannot support him any longer. I hope Manny kicks his ass!

Besides those racist remarks about Filipinos was disgusting, as Black Men I do not think we should tolerate racial insults directed at any group even if it comes from each other!

    No he didnt.

If Pac wanted the fight he would have signed it 6 months ago instead of running to fight Clottey.

Mayweather agreed to ALL of his demands.
