I'm kinda shocked that you online dated before. As fine as you are you should no problems with going out there finding a man. What made you decide to try online dating?

I might have been wrong about online dating. I always assumed that people who search for partners online were desperate. I never considered that some people do it because they don't have time to find a partner. If women like you are dating online then maybe it's not so bad after all.

I would have never thought that a woman like Geek would be online dating. She's FINE and she got a nice attitude. Her little sexy white ass wouldn't even make down my street without multiple men trying to talk to her.

But does it ever work out? Me and a friend tallied up all the couples we know and out of 16 only 2 met online and have been together for longer than a year. I've done it myself but it always ends up just being a hook up for a couple of months.

I'm sure there are some people who are looking for precisely that. But if you aren't, then maybe you just haven't found the right woman online. Honestly I see the potential for a relationship that starts that way to have a better success rate than a more conventional relationship. There are a lot of people who work hard to be someone they aren't when they first meet someone, the online aspect would remove that I would think, and give you a better chance to actually get to know the real person?

I agree because if you try meeting someone at random in the store or whatever then it is more a numbers game. online they set themselves out there for that opportunity thus they will be more receptive however Im very old school also

No, it sometimes weeds out the unwanteds. That's often a big misconception. I think some people are on there for the wrong reasons. I've done online dating and I'm far from desperate. I personally like that I get to pick and choose who I want to talk to or get to know.

I used online dating because I'm a single mom. I can't get out there and meet people very easily. It's not about desperation, it's about convenience and ease.

And like IB said, I've found that the crazies and psychos make themselves known VERY early on, so it's easier to weed out the undesirables and not waste a whole lot of time on them. :smt023

    LOL! Exactly!!

Plus, without your personal information (phone number, name), a potential crazy can't cause unnecessary drama in your life. :smt023

Truthfully it makes people a lot more picky. Like I said before in my own life the success rate is barely 10 percent. I think there is something to be said about organic synergy. Nothing like meeting someone and getting that instant chemistry. Getting that electric feeling that makes you crave the other person but maybe I haven't dated online enough.

Does that happen often? I'm unaware of this
