Perhaps. But to catch a woman, you must first understand a womans. To understand a woman, you must first learn to think as a woman thinks.

    Step 1. Discard all logic

    JOKING JOKING...

All kidding aside, have you noticed that in many (not all) cases a more effeminate man has a better chance of attracting a female than an overly macho man. Women don't want a man who oozes macho so much that he cannot relate to her on any level. A man who can hold a conversation with a woman and at least pretend to be paying attention when she talks is much more likely to get the womans attention. The problem with the two extremes is that macho man may pass the womans physical appearance test but she'll soon bore of hearing about how much he can bench press. The effeminate guy on the other hand is very likely to end up permanently in a womans friend zone. Find the happy medium... be the macho man that your woman will be proud of, but also be able to, at the very least, pretend you give a shit when she talks. Go shopping with her, but don't spend more time in the dressing room than she does. Women DO want macho, but they also want to be able to relate. OH, and women also like it when a man is in touch with his emotions. There's nothing wrong with a man crying.... just try not to be overly sensitive.

Disclaimer: No two women are alike, so everything that you just read in this post is bullshit.

a guy ( tariq nasheed. wrote a great book called the art of macking) termed that the Urban renaissaince man. he has a balance of being a thug (macho man:gives the feeling of being protected and rock the sheets), business man (nows how to stack paper and is well read) and the sensitive man (guy who sympathy and bring flowers)

I hear the mousetrap approach works well too, just bait the trap with shoes or jewelry and wait. :smt042

Seriously though you're right, what attracts one person won't attract another. Not every woman wants a man who is touchy feely, or one who is macho, or who tolerates shopping. My Ex loved to shop, I'd personally rather set my hair on fire and try to put it out with gasoline than go to the Maul to shop, I do it when absolutely necessary but I plan that like a tactical assault on Sephora, in and out in the shortest amount of time possible. I also don't care for jewelry, flowers, candy, or any of the typical romantic stuff though, so again everyone is an individual and you have to approach them as such.

LOL @ you goodlove, you always make me laugh. I actually watch a lot of military history, it's facinating. Not to mention quite a few members of my family are ex-military/law enforcement/private security, so I was raised on that stuff.

The vast majority of women like the alpha male. Always has been, always will be.

Yeah, there might be a Prince type of brotha that comes around and offers something different with his androgynous persona but when it all comes down to it, women want a masculine man. Not some prissy wimp in skinny jeans that gets manicures.

LOL, whatever dude. I just know what I am (and a fag sure isn't it otherwise I wouldn't be on this board.) Personality wise, I prefer to be what I am, than to pretend to be something that I'm not. The only thing is why do people gotta
attack guys who are different? Like if you wanna watch the expendables, and enjoy mindless violence and things blowing up all over the place, that's perfectly fine, more power to you. But why do people have to think that if we don't fit the "alpha" male stereotype, that we have to change. It's simple, they do them and we do we lol.

hahaha well thank you Espy. But I'm far from perfect. I like my insides, I love being different from the normal, even if people want to change me. But physically I'm not satisfied. Hence why I go to the gym. I figure once I buff up, than I will be perfectly fine with myself entirely.

But thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it.

There's nothing wrong with not loving everything about yourself and working to change something you aren't happy with, but at least you accept who you are while making that effort. :smt023 I can't imagine anyone would describe themselves as perfect, and if they do I'm likely not interested in knowing that person because I know no one merits perfect, I know I sure as hell don't and would never use that term for myself.
