You're confused. These are two different flicks: (1) "Twelve" (Emily Meade was the "blow job" chick); (2) "Gun" (this is the flick where AnneLynne McCord was Fiddy's boo) The Kid Rasta
These aint no actors, c'mon son, you better than that. I will give you Will, Mos def and even Cube, other than that, Nah Maybe LL Cool for TV sitcom But I tell you what Diddy and Fiddy are excellent for reality TV shows. I peeped both I want to work for diddy & 50 cents money and power show. Both of the fella did excellent job. Being in front of a camera and being a serious actor is completely different. I dont even consider Halle Berry as an actress, that Academy award was a token and she did not deserve the oscar. There were plenty blk woman who deserved that award than Halle. Berry got the award for spreading her brown butt cheeks for racist WM in the movie. SMDH
Let's be fair fame. Tupac killed it in Juice. T.I. was good in ATL and Taken. Both Andre 3000 and. Tyrese were good in 4 Brothers. These people may not all do Oscar worthy performances but they can act.
I'd put Queen Latifah back on that list and Andre 3000 on there for 4 Brothers. But until the other actors stop playing what they already are(ghetto mufuckas), the rest of them need to stick to rhyming. I like Tyreese, but at the same time, he seems kinda dull to me, but I like him still. Method and Red get a pass with me because How High was genius. And I was dying off that "brown butt cheek" part. :smt042
Yeah, he was pretty good. He actually fit in that movie. Mufuckas like Snoop n' shit can't be taken seriously. Everything seems like a cameo, even when they're in the shit for hella long. That Bones movie was just one big cameo, to me.
Tyreese-Nah, he just an eye candy for female audience Method and Red/How High was genius- LoL. This movie was stupid but funny but they have not done anything out of their element. Gave you a little laugh that's about it, but far from genius. Yeah Luda was aiight in Crush. I will tell you another rapper or hip hopper who made a transition is Mark Whalberg. He started out shitty then soldified his name. Mos def is solid he should hussle hard to soldify his name in Tinsel town.
The How High thing was an exaggeration, but it is one of those cult classics. I laugh thinking about Marky Mark, but he technically was a rapper.
Yeah the movie Traffic which I thought was great regardless, had a white girl drug addict having sex with a black drug dealer as well. The movie looks boring as hell also. The other trailer seems to be slick, stylish and vague which always means shitty acting with a bad script.
where's the movie where the black guy hooks up with a normal white girl it's always some drug dealer going after some coked-up pussy
Which is why I don't understand why people get happy about a movie with some white girl dating/fucking/talking to a black dude. Wonder how many black folks cheered when they saw Hustle and Flow.
Alot of people tend to forget that there are multiple aspects of acting. You have leads, character, voice etc etc. actors. 50 cent is a shitty lead but, i dont think he would be bad as a character actor. Mos Def is a great actor (dont believe me watch Something The Lord Made) Will Smith is a great actor, Queen Latifah is pretty decent, Andre 3000 is actually pretty talented (watch him in Battle in Seattle). Im a actor (I take classes on the side and plan on going back to school for a ba in theatre) so I look a little bit further than the the superficial outer layer of bs in determining who is and who is not a great actor. A great actor to me (and most people who work in the business will agree) is someone who can do voice over, commercial, feature film, lead role, character role, etc etc and nail it. They can act in different roles and in different mediums and pull it off. With acting you have to find your niche and stick with it until you can branch out and successfully do other types of roles/acting. Sorry for rant just thought Id chime in.
