    lmao

if a woman wears clothing, that she knows is wrong in a public environment, I dont think she should get upset over cat-calls or whistling, but I also don't think she should be susceptible to physical violence. That's where you draw the line.

I just can't stand the ones that get mad when a guy makes a pass or starts flirting, when they're looking like tramps.

She assumed that all of the guys on the street on that particular night would be "gentlemen" she was wrong. I bet if she was wearing a nun's outfit (a habit) she would still be attacked.

    Clothes Don't Count

Can't think of any cases in the news wear a guy admits to raping a woman because of her clothes. From what I've read in the news, male rapists rape women because they are females. Clothes are secondary.

Now, if a woman dresses provocatively then she may get some cat-calls but rape should never be blamed on what a woman is wearing.

I thought it was a nice commercial but probably want change the mind of any rapists. I guess if the penalty of rape itself doesn't scare them then a 30 second commercial probably won't either.

Agreed? Rape is unacceptable, no matter the consequences. The women who was attacked because of a short dress has my condolences because NO ONE
deserves that sort of act. With that said, the thing that annoys me are the women who dress very provocative, but get upset when guys stare or approach. I mean c'mon, really now, you expect to wear some daisy dukes and a low cut shirt to show off your best assets and yet you get annoyed when a guy wants to get to know you because he's physically attracted to what you are obviously flaunting? Give me a break.

But back on topic, the thugs should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. In Singapore, the thugs would be canned in public, and yet people wonder why there is no crime in Singapore. If we had those drastic consequences here I bet crime would curb, at least for the raping part.

part a) so agree with you bb...!!!

part b) i walk around with my cans out. i will not get upset if a guy approached me because he wants to get to know me...but he has to be respectful. speaking with me and not invading my personal space is acceptable & he may or may not be invited into that personal space. come up to me touching me etc and he'll get rejected flat out.

Agreed Tarshi, and I'd also like to point out that while I rarely go out with boob showing, it's pretty much impossible to hide them, so what I consider conservative might appear provocative to someone else. I also personally find cat-calls to be tasteless and I would not speak to any man who started with that, he'd just immediately go in the asshole category. I don't find that appreciative I find it cowardly, if you don't have the nerve to come up to me and speak respectfully, you just need to STFU and leave me alone. It's just really rude and classless IMO, and it's gonna be hard for a man to rebound from that with me, in fact it's one of the only things that really just pisses me off immediately. I also agree with you that touching is an absolute no without permission, and will not end happily.
