People are homosexual as well because it too is supposed to be. It may not be norm or on average but exists and not simply in humans. It is a part of life like so many things that are not norm or average. Hormones do control sexuality. If you give people a certain amount of hormones, they do turn to one sexuality or another. The problem with incest is that they tend to try to procreate and give genetic defects to the child. Gay people do not procreate.

If gay marriage is allowed, I can see polygamous groups pushing for their "rights" to marry multiple partners as well, using all or many of the exact same arguments that gay people are currently using.

This is already happening in Canada where they legalized gay marriage a few years back....

Maybe. I doubt it, but who knows. Never heard of any studies on this kind of thing. With homosexuality, it's an attraction to an entire people, which makes more sense than being attracted to just family, but who knows. If incest marriage did get legalized, I wouldn't protest the shit, because it's their business. I wouldn't vote to legalize it, but I wouldn't vote against it. If they don't want to have kids then that's a good thing. They won't risk having a messed up kid. The same applies to a gay incest couple.

Me either, however I did catch something on A&E about what drives attraction between men and women, and one of the aspects it studied was pheromones and other chemistry of perspiration and found that some men and women were specifically attracted to certain people based solely upon smelling their sweat. The thing I found interesting is that in the people they tested, they included close relatives and in those cases all of those people found the sweat of their relatives distasteful. It was a blind study so no one knew whose sweat they were testing, and yes the idea of going around sniffing sweat is a little odd to begin with, but you know anything in the name of scientific exploration LOL. The scientists theorized that this is one of the ways nature combats incest.

 

This still doesn't fix the problem of genetic defects which is my point of why it should not be done. Some one may die from it or suffer long life disabilities from it.

The odds on this happening is slim to none. we all know that the odds are very low of having a gay child and then to have another gay child that is the same gender and then to have to have them to think that it is ok to have a relationship and then for the relationship to last long enough for them to get to marriage. That is just drawing straws.

I will agree on you on this matter if you agree it is fine that gay people can get married and incest that may cause genetic defects should be illegal.

For a man and woman: A plan to have sex is a plan to have children. Just because you don't want any children doesn't mean that is going to happen. So this doesn't work because most couples will try to have sex. I will find it very hard to believe that a couple will not participate in sex at any time during their relationship.


Lastly, the two scenarios mentioned are not on average. People practicing incest are often male and female. They often do try to have children.

No tasting, just smelling. They had people wear white t-shirts, no perfume or cologne and no deodorant. They took the t-shirts off after wearing them for several hours and that's what they had people smell. Basically they also said that we screw with our natural attraction senses because we're a lot cleaner and put too much emphasis on hygiene, all the soap, perfume/cologne, and deodorant masks the pheromones. They're probably right, but a man or woman who smells like sweat isn't likely to get far now days.
