I was on this on forum, and people were talking about how much they hate the Everest Guy and the other daytime college commercials. Some people referred to them as "Jerry Springer Schools", because they play during Jerry Srpingers and Judge Alex and the other 11-3 o'clock shows. The name that made me die was "Single Mother Institute", because if you notice in those commercials, half the time it's a single mother(who is always Hispanic) talking about how she wants to better her future. And I notice they always show the minorities in the "I'm a single mother" position, or the minority single dude who is struggling(most of the time). Then they show the white folks that already have the house in the suburbs, the SUV, that grab-ass picnics and all the other the minorities on the commercials are struggling to get. You see them in the yard, washing the car n' shit, being all happy n' shit or camping. You see them with their parents at the end of the commercial talking about how proud of them they are. On a rare occasion, I have seen one where the Hispanic dude was actually shown in a good position and had something to show for his success. Of course, these commercials may vary by region, but in my area, these are the ones I see with the minorities in shittier positions.
I have noticed that too, and the racial bias in those commercials is way over the top. That Everest guy makes me break out in hives. LOL @ jerry springer schools!!!
real talk chief.... HOW ABOUT....the black people living large and incharge, with some lowly white person aspiring to do better? seriously man...all that shit is about subliminal mind control of the black man
of course. that is why i never use the word n***ger. subliminal man. look at everythang but you dont have to be conspirarcy brother to figure it out
If you have good grades, and can get on courses like medicine, engineering, or the sciences, I dont think college is overrated. Generally these courses equip you with transferable skills.Skills that can be used in a variety of fields..not just the field you studied. For example an engineering major could become an investment banker, a patent attorney, an accountant or near enough anything he/she wants.
