But babe, just because you are drooling over a hot guy doesnt mean that they MUST look like that to date them. Men works the same way... you drool over hot women.. (e.g., the hot w women thread, I love boobs etc) does that mean you would only date women that look like the ones you drool over? Why would you not drool over hot looking people? Makes no sense. I reserve the right to drool, LOL. Window-shopping never hur anyone. Once you stop looking at hot stuff, u better check if you have a heartbeat:-D
Actually I wouldn't be surprised to be honest. The CW is the only television network where they actually show full on IR relationships. 90210 has them (Dixon dating Silver and now that other chick.) One Tree Hill has one (even though it was rather unique, with the black best friend dating the main characters mother.) They really are the only network who gets with the time when it comes to that.
That's not true ABC did it with Grey's Anatomy with Burke and Christina, they did it on Lost with Syiad and that blonde girl, on Better Off Ted there's a nerdy scientist who has only hooked up with hot white women, on NBC they had Ali Larter's character with a black guy and they had a son together, and I'm sure there's other but those are the only shows I've watched. There's plenty out there fam.
Once again, Geeky beat me to it. Don't act like guys don't do this too. We're all allowed to be attracted to a wide spectrum of people.
Hahaha, I wouldn't call the NBC heroes show a successful relationship. Ali Larter's husband was in "jail" even though it was wrongly done, and they were perhaps together for no more than 2 episodes before she goes nuts and ends up trying to kill the husband, which in the end, causes her to kill herself. Yeah, not really a good depiction of an IR relationship to be honest. So I'm sorry, but I don't count the heroes relationship. And I'm not certain we are reaching the same point. I'm referring to main characters that are paired with a romantic partner who are IR. For example, Dixon is the main male lead, while Silver is one of the main characters. In Hellcats, the main chick is the female lead, while the male lead does appear to be the black guy. The difference between that and others is usually characters that aren't main leads do not have much screen time. So if they give IR relationships in small doses, than it won't underwelm the audience (specifically black women and white males.) But on the CW, the demographic is primarily caucasian women, from teens to mid 20's, so they don't have to worry about a huge drop in ratings like the other networks that do have white male and black female demographics.
A main interracial couple on the show, I'm sure they will kill it like the killed the other ones. The black guy will turn gay, they will break up, he will be shot, he will move to another school, he cheat on her probably with a black chick, or some white guy will show up and she will fall for him instead.
There won't be any controversy, its a CW show (formerly the WB). The main demographic is teenagers and young adults. Is this the gf? Because she doesn't look mixed to me
she's blacker than my left butt-cheek under a bright light face it people, an IR couple as the main attraction of a show....well i dont know if that would work
You can, you'll just be in the Negro infantry. Maybe even make history (that will be ignored in educational facilities).
Negroes UNITE! late edit - i just seen ur edit....pretty true tho...i dont recall reading about black soldiers in ww2, during american history class....i mean u heard about the Tuskegee Airmen, but not the tank or infantry regiments.
I hate to keep bringing it up, but they're doing it by trying to make Gabby a star (Hattie McDaniel 6.0).
Again word! You're on a role fam. The worst part is black people who support it. There are for more talented people who get no shine.
