Black on Asian school violence in Philadelphia

If you live in or near Philadelphia, you know about the brutal December attacks on Asian students at a local high school. Seven kids were hospitalized with injuries sustained mostly at the hands of African-American students, who beat Asians in classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria and the streets outside the school. The school is apparently 70% Black, 18% Asian, and 12% unidentified "other."



On December 3rd of last year, many of the school's Black students erupted in violence that was systematically and exclusively targeted at the school's Asian students. Fueled by rumors, a group of students roamed the halls searching for Asian victims until one was attacked in a classroom. Later, about 70 students stormed the cafeteria, where several Asians were beaten. About 35 students pushed past a police officer onto the so-called "Asian floor," but were turned back. After school, Asians being escorted home were attacked anyway by a mob of youths.

It's an isolated incident committed by a few.

Chad Dion Lassiter, president of Black Men at Penn, said that the behavior of those few were malicious and could have been the result of "pack mentality." But in a society in which immigrants are seen as the "other," he said, prejudice is "deeply rooted" and "then we act out aggressively against something we don't understand." He urged the district to keep its promise to incorporate culture-sensitivity workshops, as well as "bullying prevention, intervention and anger-reduction workshops” into the curriculum. "It's long overdue," he said.

 

Maybe they were beating up these asians cause of all of them were getting straight As and that made them envious.

Perhaps the asians should seek out protection from the asian gangs or join forces with the hispanic gangs (MS-13 and others) for protection in the schools against the black thugs that plague even their own communities. The hispanic gangs are starting to do that here in Virginia to protect their own. Law enforcement is not going to do a damn thing.

When all else fails, one must use violence with violence to garner peace. Strength rules whether physical, mental or spiritual. I loved what Billy Jack once said about mental toughness, it sometimes requires one to stand on ones feet than to be on ones knees. Know one respects a coward.
