Um...I thought it was "Septic YANKS"...a play on words.

At least that's what an Aussie gal told me back in the late 1980's.

Maybe the vernacular evolved over the years, yes?

Could you imagine if the gov spent all the money they spent on the last couple of wars on homeless/disadvantaged people, education, unemployment programs/traingin, etc....it would probably be utopia lol

When Ronald Reagan got into office, the ENTIRE National Debt was $400 billion dollars. When he left office it was $2 trillion. Every Republican since him has doubled the debt. When they were in power, they didn't even pretend to care. But now, in order to return to power, they act like they give a sh-t...

Ah yes, Democrats are the saviors and Republicans are evil.

I'm tired of that song and dance. It's getting really old.

It's neither a song or a dance - it's the plain truth. The Republicans took a $400 billion dollar defecit and turned it into a $12 trillion dollar defecit in 20 years. Republicans are inartful at diplomacy; insensitive to its citizenry; incompetent with fiscal management; and just plain intrinsically inept...

Get used to it, 'cause it's true.

And there will never be a viable third party in this country, so again, get used to it.

Look under the columns of Senate Control and House Control and tell me who really brought up the National Debt:

    Neither party is innocent.

You're right. Because the Republicans and Democrats won't allow a third party to be viable.

It doesn't help that third party candidates are almost never viable. And that's not the Dems or Repubs fault.

The incompetence of the Tea Party is not the Democrats' fault. The fact that Tea Party supporters have been embarrassed by their inept leadership is - in a word: "fate." Both the Tea Party and the Republican Party need to drift off into extinction. They're not just worthless - they're useless...

People who have blind faith in any one thing scare the shit out of me. I'm not going to lie.

You really think the Democrats are the saviors of the American people? You're misinformed. No one party is the savior of the American people. If the parties don't start working together, this country will never be the best it can be.

working together?:smt009 I believe the parties were formed to not work together. They are there to divide by just existing.

I agree with you that we should work together to fix this but it is more complicated than this work together. If you and I have two different ideas on how to do it, how do we go about to fix something if the ideas conflict against each other? such as tax cuts. How do we know that the ideas are wrong or right? That is certainly a problem. :smt017

Why on Earth do you keep using the term "savior?" What I'm talking about is the epic failure of the Republican Party and Tea Party to provide a viable view point for the common good of the United States. You're talking about Far Right Wing Jargon and disinformation.
