The production of the RFID chips, an integral element of the new generation of German identity cards, has started after the government gave a 10 year contract to the chipmaker NXP in the Netherlands. Citizens will receive the mandatory new ID cards from the first of November. Various German authorities will be able to identify persons fast and reliable by scanning the RFID citizen card. These will be the police, customs and tax authorities and of course the local registration and passport granting authorities. The new ID card will contain all personal data on the security chip that can be accessed over a wireless connection. The new card allows German authorities to identify people with speed and accuracy, the government said. These authorities include the police, customs and tax authorities and of course the local registration and passport granting authorities. German companies like Infineon and the Dutch NXP, which operates a large scale development and manufacturing base in Hamburg, Germany are global leaders in making RFID security chips. The new electronic ID card, which will gradually replace the old mandatory German ID cards, is one of the largest scale roll-outs of RFID cards with extended official and identification functionality. No doubt it is. Unfortunately, you could say that I sub contract to Big Brother. The Smart Grid is the wireless mesh that provides the "always-on" tracking system. Coupled with Geographic and Geospatial Information Systems, LIDAR, Biomemedics, MEMS, and Virtual Radio for starters - and there will be no such thing as privacy. That's when the fun really starts - now you can use weapons. If we put another Republican President in office, the economy may be the least of our troubles...
Pretty soon, every major county will implement RFID chips into almost every form of identification used. That has been a long desired goal for quite some time now. This will soon spread across the globe.
Yo the day they implent RFID, or any type of montoring system similiar, I'm movin to a reomote island. I don't do Big Brother type shit.
The same government who are complaining about Google maps now has this system? The Gestapo is not dead in Germany as far as know where you go via ID card.
Know how drugstores and super markets nearly force you to sign up for a discount card in order to buy goods at a fair price so they can build a database on your purchases?? RFID at some point is going to be one of those 'voluntary' deals, where if you decide not to participate, you'll pay a penalty in your wallet. When you can track everyone in a society at all times, without their consent, the concept of a free society ceases to exist anymore. Scary times, man.:smt011
