I'm telling you we got a bunch of these people using the n word like crazy even on the forum. They want to say oh I said it with an a and not an er. They think it is a joke but children will copy it just like that. Children don't know about racism most of the time. They don't know the history behind that word. They will use it because they hear other people use it. That girl got taught those words in the tape.

Can you lend me a pencil? Next thing you know, The KKK and skin heads will be using the same reasoning like the guy in the video. the word is no bueno:)smt009), no matter how you use it or spell it.

Am I the only one who thought this was down right hilarious. I can't tell you the last time I laughed so hard. Thanks for posting.
Btw The Boondocks did this already. Word for word same exact scenario. Talk about life imitating art.

To me its all context. We as people know when someone is calling us a derogatory word or when they mean something as a term of endearment. If I called you a genius depending on my tone you could tell if I was being sincere or sarcastic. We get too sensative over the wrong shit.

How are you going to prove that it is or isn't derogatory? Kids are not aware of it either. You may have a white kid watching the boondocks thinking it is ok to say. He may end up saying it in a huge crowd of black people. The have no idea of the history behind it. black folks in the crowd may not be too happy about it.

How do you prove a hidden ku klux klan member isn't saying it in a derogatory way. The word needs to fade away. Keeping it isn't helping any one.

That's one take I suppose. But where does it stop? The word motherfucker is way more offensive than nigger but we don't have a problem with that word.

I'm not sure about that one. If dr. Laura had said Mfer, I think she might still have her job. We actually do have a problem with it. You don't often hear people say it on a public forum. They might lose their jobs if they do.
Nixon said it so often in the background that it may have lost all meaning but he did not once say it on the public forum.

Such a foul mouth for a 7 year old. :-?

Not to mention, the instigating and condoning of the behavior by the elders in the room.

And they wonder why when we grow up, we do the things we do....

That's a common mistake that a lot of white men make. It kills me how deliberately insensitive some people are by using the n-word or mf in order to prove a point - then THEY become the victim and are suddenly wounded when they're called an asshole.

Ive used it in the past, and I probably will still keep using it, because of the way it's being delivered. Like If I say 'Negro, please!,' people can tell it's being used in a jocular manner, and not to degrade someone like 'go back to picking cotton, stupid negro.' Granted that would sound more harsh coming from a white guy. I said it once and i'll say it before, you need to take the power away from the word, instead of trying to delete it from English diction. Don't hold your breath on that one chief.

I'll say this again too. If nigga/nigger, was somehow deleted or banned from spoken language, racists would find another word. If YOU allow THEM to put power behind it, you're only keep yourself down. Grow some balls or some thick skin, because the world is not a friendly place.

words do fade away. The other thing is I have yet to see any word fade and another racial word take its place. There hasn't been a revolution of new derogatory words. The f- word has been around for how long now?

if it weren't for the American public, I wouldn't know how to curse. There are huge loads of non black insults that I have never heard of because I lived mostly in a Caribbean neighborhood.

The N-Word has been around for centuries (basically means someone who's ignorant, not necessarily black) and became our title sometime afterwards, around the Era of Slavery. I highly doubt it will be going away anytime soon, which is why I suggest what I did. If you let words get to you, I see a lot of pain and suffering in your future. Their are dozens of other racial insults that can take its place.

late edit - Although, not to be hypocritical, I used to kick people from my servers on PS3/360 games, when they started using racial slurs in a truly inflammatory manner. I didn't have time to get philosophical then, lol.

One game called Conflict: Global Terror (which was badass), had ONE black character. You basically went into games with groups of 4, with 4 guys to choose from. Some guy would get stuck with the Black guy, and get called the n-word by obviously racist people. Dark Days, lol.

A good example of a word that should be racially inflammatory is the word motherfucker. It was originally used to refer to slaves who were forced to have sex with their own mothers in order to reproduce strong slaves. Not that's a word that has become racially ambiguous because it fell out of fashion. I'm sure the word nigger/nigga will do the same.

that would make sense. I remember some youtube clip, where a guy is being interviewed or something, and says the main reason blacks dominate physical sports, is because of their strong genes from slavery breeding practices (it wasnt some random tosser either..more like a professional interview on a news channel). Keep the strong ones breeding, you'll have strong back bucks for years.

    ruins the online experience, IMO..

like if you're playing a squad based shooter, or something like a 5on5 hockey game. you need to be able to communicate if you want to win.

if you notice tho, the ESRB always mentions that 'online interactions' havent been rated( i always get a kick out of that)..

meaning, even tho the game is rated for everyone, there's a chance some bastard is going to shout 'dirty *#**er'

but like I said before, I used to ALWAYS host my own games, and would just toss people out when they started going off on racial rants. I can't stop them from saying it, but that doesn't make me helpless at the same time.

Ghost Recon was great for this. If you hosted a server, you could kick people and then LOCK the server, to prevent them from coming back in. Other games FAILED when it came to giving good hosts actions like that. Some games you cant even mute players, WTF is up with that.

late edit - I heard HALO was notorious for little racist bastards, running around screaming all kinds of junk. Wasnt that game rated-M, lol

I know me and my little cousin used to play it together, but damn....
