in high school, i was a bit of everything

basically, i'm still that way today, not really specializing in a certain area or being known to be a one-dimensional person. I was 6 feet, 190 lbs freshman year in high school (wore a size 14 sneaker to boot), so it was hard to avoid sports, but at the same time, I was kind of an egghead and used to be that guy people cheated off of lol.

    Ditto.

Went to summer school AND night school so's I could get outta there a year early..

And was derided by a couple of classmates who said : "What're youse tryin' t'do? Screw up the natural order of things? We're here 'cause we gotta be..and YOU'RE goin' to summer class 'cause you WANT to?!? Go on, GIVE yourself a BAD NAME!"

    Laughable, I guess.....

They were just envious because they knew they couldn't cut it...

Sad that things were----and still ARE---that way in a LOT of socialpolitical settings..

Twisted thinking and very off-kilter logic....

I *was* gonna get into a whole big thing about this and voice why I have such hostility and hatred towards a considerable size of the General Populace that REFUSE to 'live and let live'...but I'll skip it.

    I can say no more..

    Well spoken, IB!

I really hate to tell you this, but reading those words of Anten7...and the shit he went through.....and I can feel the hate rising...feel the hate rising...all up in through my insides...towards those GOD DAMN ASSHOLES that DID what they DID to him...

All because they wanted to "raise his level of consciousness"..

Just like what somebody did to ME..

    I haven't forgotten it.

And I'm STILL very angry about it..

And so, to Anten7 from one who also knows the pain of living in that racist cesspool named Cleveland..I pray for you and hope that all your future endeavours and romances shall be fruitful & happy.

    Thank you!

I remember your horrific story. I've mentioned this in your thread, but again, I'm so sorry that you had to go through that bullshit.

I'm glad you came out on top and will continue to prevail...

Toon get's deep when he wants to - doesn't he? Thank you, Toon. I really didn't expect that level of empathy on wwbm - I'm surprised. And yes you're absolutely right, Cleveland / Cuyahoga County is a blueprint for institutionalized racism in the 21st century.

It's the temperamental artiste in me, I guess....

Just remember *these sage words* spoken by one from OUR community:

And trust me, m8....it has NOTHING to do with any alleged, so-called "attitude"...TRUST me...

It's more like showing righteous zeal in pursuing the things that you BELIEVE in.

I'm sure you can appreciate that...having confronted a somewhat similar situation of Great Hostility...as *I* have, yes?

    Even today...ESPECIALLY today..

It's a damned shame that it's STILL all FUBAR!!!!!

I really, REALLY hate that I *must* make my way there for a business trip in late-2011.
