I know many people in my generation watched and loved the power rangers at least in the states.

Yea, I don't much care that he is gay but I like to see updates on the orginial 5 power rangers. Of course, it is really an update on 4 of them since tragedy struck the yellow rangers.

That's not a huge surprise. He never had a love interest on the show and I remember awhile back people were saying the red ranger from that season was in gay porn.
