we may get into a 'real' war, with death tolls that rival Vietnam. The kind of war where it was 'common,' to hear horror stories about 30-man infantry platoons getting slaughtered on patrol. The kind of war were enlistments don't increase, because people know we won't be bullying some ragtag nation into submission.

 

Even if the enlistments don't increase, as long as there is an underlying message in the media being shoved down your throat day-in and day-out telling you that danger of some sort is imminent, people will find the motivation to fight back.

 

that worked wonders for the Vietnam war and the 'Spread of Communism'



things went so good they had to draft (ie FORCE) people to strap on boots, and go 10,000 miles from home to fight some grown-ass men, running around rice fields in black pajamas. The protests and people spitting on the uniforms of soldiers really brought it home. Highly motivated to fight back..at the government
