Don't know. Never really believed any of the theories, or just never took the time to read deeper into the theories.

Take your life for instance. There are a countless number of people in the past, present, and future - who could have been your parents. But there is ONLY one combination of mother and father who actually were. The same is true with the universe. It is pointless to offer absurd notions like the Flying Spaghetti Monster because there's only one real explanation - no matter what it is, there's only ONE. In my opinion, one of the contributing factors that lead to atheism is when people lose sight of this fact.

I believe to the contrary but I understand what you are saying. Their thought process and mine is that why do the good suffer. the bible states if you are obedienant then he would protect you. then he will turn around and wants to tests whats in your heart but doesnt that goes against him knowing you and knowing the numbers of hairs on your head ? those are legit questions to ask. Job asked the same questions and he was considered one of the most faithful men in the bible besides Moses and abraham.

    Rubbish.

There is no one cause to most things, if anything at all. For an orange to become an orange there needs to be an orange seed, sunlight, proper levels of moisture, and a tree implanted in soil to host its growth.

Even if there was a single cause to the universe, you cannot establish its material foundation with any supernatural point of origin. No peer-reviewed model of physics makes any allowances for the existence of the supernatural.

    FAIL.

You're right there is nothing supernatural its all natural its just divided into the explained and unexplained. Point of origin is all about perspective.

If you try hard enough, you can come up with a better way of saying that you really have no idea what we're talking about...

I'm sure eveyone on here is an atheist to some god that has exsitied during human history. All gods fall out of favor eventually. We either decided we don't need them to explain our situation anymore, or another more excepted idea comes along. The defintion of ones god is what defines one as an atheist or a believer. I'm curiouse to know what everyones definition of god is.

I joined the Pastafarians at Uni orientation week back in the day... There were endless promises of pub crawls with open bar tabs that never eventuated. That's what you get for worshiping false gods, huh? :p

Ah well. They gave me a lollipop when I signed up, so it wasn't totally futile ;)

I personally believe w/e started the universe is god. I keep it as simple as that.

I think dying is gonna be just like when before you're born. Just nothingness.

I think people are starting to not believe in god or whatever more and more now because well, religion has always been used to control people, at least back a long time ago, "don't to this or you'll burn in hell" kinda thing.

Plus, people used to think the world was flat, and we laugh at that now. But a book that was written forever ago, we think it's fact? I dunno. I just don't believe in it. I don't have anything against people that do though. I think if there is something out there, it's nothing like what we were told about. But you'll never know for sure until you die I guess, and I can't talk to dead people to find out lol.

Lots of swimming. Someone kept hitting my tail and raced to the finish. I was trapped for 9 months in what was thought to be the room where the afterpaty would be for getting first place in the Sperm-Prix 500......and now I'm here. Guess everything worked out alright.

lol no, I mean, it was not like you could somehow see the world and what was going on in it before you existed, so why would you be able to have some kind of connection to it when you're dead?

Only time will tell whether you're right or wrong.

Good luck and enjoy the ride. It might get bumpy.

So, considering you don't know what will happen after life on earth ends...

Would you rather have a backup plan for after life or just say f*ck it and deal with the consequences?

What do you mean by back up plan? lol. In case there is a god, what would I do? I don't think I'd be much different than I am today or doing anything different. I believe I'm a good person if there is a so called judgement day kinda thing after all.
