Gap Band bassist ROBERT WILSON - R.I.P.

    The classic Old School band was comprised of three siblings Charles, Ronnie & Robert.

    Long before "Burn Rubber" & "OOPS! (Upside Your Head)", there was a BRILLIANT album they made in 1977; My ALL-TIME RAVE-FAVE by the Brothers Wilson. Eponymously titled, it was produced by JOHN RYAN, best renowned for his rock-n-roll work with BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, STYX, FRESH, RARE EARTH, & The CHICAGO BLUES BAND; It's on RCA/TATTOO if you care to find it...and IF ya have a turntable!:)


    I observe 5 Minutes Of Silence in Honour of his Memory.

    Dunno about you...but *I've* personally experienced...WAY more than a "few" times...some celeb...or even a past acquaintance/colleague/what-not come to mind in some random mental musings of mine during the day....and....almost immediately thereafter (Well, that's sure as hell what it *SEEMS* like!) I get news of their passing.


    My Dad (G.R.H.S.) was like that, too.

    I really don't wanna expound any further on it at this time..


    Not today!

    I'm an avid bass player, been playing guitar since 84'. The Gap Band was one of my influences. I don't know about you, the Gap Band were known for their stage performances. Youtube is all I have to remember them by. I'll slap a bass riff in remembrance.:cool:

    I've not been lucky enough to see 'em on stage. Too much on my plate, and all stuff like that there.
