.. just the other day.. Cable TV, Bravo or USA, I believe.. very surprising.. a black man, caucasian woman were featured, 20-30 something in age.. presented in a very matter-of-fact- kind of way, they meet at a restaurant or something.. when it was revealed that this was Match.com I was mildly blown away.. I'm looking on the web, haven't found it yet..
Ummmm.......aight? Somebody keep me updated when they see a white woman and black man holding hands in the Check-in-to-Cash commercial or ITT Tech commercial(sarcasm). Don't really know what the wow is about.
It was just a match.com commercial, it never mentioned anything about IR. Still a little surprising though, I wonder if that commercial played nationwide??
There are several match.com commercials, just like there are several ITT Tech commercials, Cash 4 Gold commercials and "The General" car insurance commercials. I might have seen it, but I'm usually not paying attention when it comes on.
Fair enough, m8... The thing is...if only the (U.S.) General Populace would be abit more mellow & accepting to do same... We all know most (not ALL) of said populace are screaming, cursing, and diving for their letter stationery &/or PC's to contact the creators of...such a disgusting travesty that they DARE to infest THEIR teevee screens with... Refer to my last post in: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14738page=2 For a glimpse as to what I speak of.. 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Although not at the speed & velocity that *I'D* personally like to see...the tide IS turning.:smt023 OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Too bad they run the eHarmony ad with the black woman and white man first... But having said that, the demographics of OTA viewers (The Big 4 Networks) is the oldest in America so it would make no sense to run it on Network TV. I'm not quite sure about the step forward stuff, many of the "other" problems remain.
I just seen it on ESPN or the cartoon network. I was either watching football or cartoons..you know i keep it real. The ad was very subtle. The girl wasn't freaking pale (HELLO IM A WHITE GIRL, LOOK AT ME), but she was 'white enough' to make people think. On the strength, it shouldn't matter who people date. People dont do shit for you out here in any other part of your life, why should they be allowed to interfere with who you're fucking? That makes you want to take a bat to someone's head, for them being so stupid.
Whether or not she is 100% white and he is 100% black is irrelevant. The purpose of that scene was to portray an interracial couple. (black man, white woman.)
I'm surprised to hear this. The only IR commercials I've seen for dating sites have featured WM/AF and WM/BF couples. I hardly ever watch TV outside of shows that I record with my DVR, which allows me to skip commercials, so I have no clue if I'll ever see it.
