I like this lady Christiane Amanpour who host "This Week" on Sunday. She is incredibly intelligent and has a personality I just love. She is forceful and I like that in a woman. I love her accent. She is doing something I have not seen much on the Sunday talking head shows, she is covering more international affairs. I take issue to those men who are complaining that the media is becoming too chickified. Go on Ms. Amanpour, prove your stuff girl and that you can hang with the best of them.
Interesting stats on Christiane Amanpour Amanpour worked at CNN for 27 years. Ethnically, she is half Iranian and half British. She studied journalism at the University of Rhode Island. She is married to James Rubin, former Assistant Secretary of State and spokesman for the US State Department.
I did not see any blacks on her panel this week. She has only been hosting into her second week. Give her time. She looks like a fair person. I like this lady a lot.
I loathed the roundtable this week. In fairness, I frequently do no matter what bland watered-down, rightwing-coddling network-brain they have moderating, so it's probably no reflection on her. I grew to hate Stephenopolous tho, and I'll probably grow to hate her too. It's just revolting listening to them bury the story of how suddenly and profoundly our entire role in Afghanistan has and will change, never addressing how the flood in Pakistan may have reduced numbers of Taliban, never addressing how this might change our exit strategy, but instead focusing on the gawddamned mosque and the gawddamned mosque protestors, and how Obama's tepid comments and his tepid backpedalling of those comments were either good or not good. And then they didn't even bother to mention protests of mosques elsewhere. The Sunday Morning circuit should NOT be less informative than the first 10 minutes of Colbert. NOT. She looks pretty enough tho. Agreed. I felt very sorry for her when they tried to get Peter Jennings fired for allegedly having an affair with her (thus making him "unAmerican" in the eyes of idiots). I always liked her reporting back in the day.
pretty enough? Of course, women shouldn't have to be pretty to do the job. I just think she just barely passes as a woman than a man.
I thought you liked 'em with very little makeup... see sometimes makeup is a good idea. LOL! (note to self, do not ask Archangel for his opinion on pics, he's brutal)
damn soo true . the statement from Obama was so damn true, legalistic, in the middle of the road taking a stand without taking a stand but yet its hated by everyone. the question is how far from the "holy ground" should it be. they are protesting mosques in other states. they were not protesting mosques during the Bush years and as a matter of fact Bush gave the same tolerance speech a year after 9/11. WTF
Perhaps I'm out of touch with the majority of the men here, but a woman does not have to be only drop dead gorgeous to be apprecated. They have much more to offer in emotional content, intelligence and enlightment.
You know with the right makeup, artfully applied, I could probably make you look like a woman. No offense, just pointing out that you'd be surprised what you can do with makeup Archangel.
