When structural inequities and systemic discrimination have been dismantled or at least reached a point of austerity, sure.

Is there anybody who actually believes this guy is African-American?

Are you African-American? Yes or No?

Well then, do you know why these laws were created in the first place?

No, I'm asking YOU if YOU know.

If you know, would you mind stating the reasons? After all, you're the one who started this thread in the first place. It would be nice if you could demonstrate that you know why they were created - since you believe they should be abolished.

So then, do you know why the laws were created in the first place? If so, would you demonstrate it? After all, you did start this thread talking about why they should be abolished. I don't think I'm asking very much.

So you come from The Bill Cosby School of Social Engineering....

    I am -

    • Unmarried
    • No Children
    • No Criminal Record
    • Eliminated Debt
    • No Ethinic Hair Styles
    • No Tatoos

Yet, I have been discriminated against, I have been a victim of Driving While Black and I'm sure a few other things I would have a hard time proving without looking inside people's hearts.

You can not buy in the Neo-Liberal propaganda that we no longer need such laws. I guess nobody paid attention to the Banking Crisis and all the deeply troubling actions (lets call it fraud!) companies such as Country Wide and Wells Fargo took when actively soliciting Home Loans and 2nd Mortgages from Black People knowning a majority of these people have no clue what they are getting involved with. That's a failure of our education system.

Racism or at least trying to fix it with policy is a 3rd rail in this country because the White Middle Class has been under attack since the mid 1970's. Too many feel like too much has been done to help the Poor and not them.

This has given rise to the Tea Party.

Why come to a board like this and ask such a question? You think there a bunch of Uncle Tom's in here?

I was hoping that you would provide some real life insight with your own experiences - thereby showing that you understand what you wrote by demonstrating your working knowledge of what's actually going on. I'm not certain you have any, though. For instance, have you ever bidded on a project before? Are you familiar with the systemic rifts and challenges that face MBEs, SBEs, and FBEs. If so, please elaborate.

Edit: Take all the time you need to Google what I just said so that you can pretend that you knew it all along... ;)

Your impatience has caused you to overlook the fact that I have yet to even express my support for or against affirmative action. Show a little patience, why don't you...

Translation: So much for the value of a Morehouse education...

Edit: That's not quite fair. Morehouse is a great school. Maybe you finished in the bottom of your class.

    After all:

Q: What do you call the guy that finishes last in his class at Medical School?

    A: Doctor.

nah, that was not racist at all.....

btw, I think you mentioned Morehouse over half a dozen times now (thats over 6 for you).
You realize this place is full of people with graduate degrees, your are not some shining star of brilliant intellect here- you already showed that with your weak reasoning abilities.

Seriously, go back to BHM and say hi to blcgrl.

Errrr... didn't you just say this in another thread?:

"If you are insinuating that I am the same person as the thread starter, then you are mistaken. Even in my worst effort, I could never pretend to have those poor grammatical skills. Im willing to bet that the thread's author is an uneducted, angry Black woman"

Morehouse is a great school - like I said. You're just doing a pretty bad job at representing your supposed Alma Matter. If I were a Morehouse Alumnus, I would recommend that you be removed from the mailing list.

    Better luck next time...

Since you seem to know much about affirmative action, I figure you already know that it does not only protect against color discrimination, but it protects against discrimination based on gender.

So if you see us as being hypocritical then maybe you should take your own advice and open up your own dating/marriage options to include both men and women. You say you are a "Real Black Dude". I am sure there are plenty of bi and gay dudes of all races who would love a piece of your ass. Do you give them the same opportunities that you present to women?

Of course, I am assuming your are not gay, which in that case you would need to open up your options to include women in the name of fairness. If you are bi-sexual, then you are living your belief and I commend you.

If you follow your own advice, you can not pick and choose when gender matters. It simply should not matter across the board. You can not promote a gender blind ideology and philosophy, while on the other hand leveraging gender when its advantageous. RealBlackDude you just cant be a hypocrite.
