    In essence

Basically for me in reading all this ww to bm and bm to ww , we cant completely understand what it means to be a man or a woman , black or white when faced with their unique situations of hurdles and pain but as the better ( I hate to say better half .... I like to say my loving other) half we can do the following:

    1) Listen with an ear of Im trying to understand your pain
    2) If you need me to do something I will do it
    3) you will always have the "you can count on me being there" feeling all the time
    4) I may not understand but Im here

does that sum it all up for ya

In alot of cases - depending on the individuals involved -- and their idiosyncracies/personality traits & qualities thereof - it's sufficient, yes.

it would be nice one day to not have to talk about how to deal with racism of any type or intolerance.

In many social circles - in certain fiefdoms of the globe - we *are already* there...

It's just that certain segments of society are in DIRE NEED of CATCHING UP!

It depends on the two persons involved. I certainly think it is possible because I have done so. Connecting does not mean agreeing with each other on every topic. Connecting can simply mean you two have endured the same experience, or one has and the other person is sympathetic. To connect, you have to open up and be honest.

As we pursue our goals, we encounter people who find us interesting or attractive. When we worry, become insecure, or jealous - we stop being interesting. We are not as happy or sad as we might think. The trick is to stay focused on your goals - and remain "interesting"...
