    Most certainly.

My pops and I have been talking about how much we wanna see NY. Maybe within the next couple of years I'll have the opportunity to do so. My brother's been to NY a few times and he loves it. I've heard nothing but good things about NYC so I'm really looking forward to seeing what it is that makes people fall in love with the City.

My brother is a big Nets fan, but him being from Queens, this could be funny (BK - Queens rivalry)...lol

I generally hate make predictions for the simple reason that unless you're a witchdoctor or a prophet, you do not know what will happen in the future. And seemingly unrelated events do shape futures. But I will take a stab at the questions nonetheless.

    1. I think the Lebron thing will not be as much a disaster as people think it will be, or in some cases, are actively hoping. I do question, however whether the supporting cast is good enough to get them to the Finals. Outside of the "Superfriends" ( i refuse to call them that until they win something!), who have Miami got? Big Z, Eddie House, Jamaal Magloire, Udonis Haslem, Mario Chalmers, Carlos Arroyo, Mike Miller, James Jones. No disrespect to those guys as they are a mostly hardworking bunch, but I have a hard time believing that they form the core of a championship team. Obviously, I could be proven wrong in about 9 months.

    2. The Lakers will repeat, barring a serious injury and Ron Artest going berserk. (N.B. You need to win a title FOUR consecutive times to actually threepeat, the word is a misnomer, at least in the current context).

    3. The Cavs will win between 40-45 games. I know the East has gotten significantly tougher, but take away Boston, Orlando, Chicago, Miami and Milwaukee and they have a good shot at 6th. They will have to keep an eye on Charlotte though.

    4. This may be crazy, but I still like Boston's chances to get to at least the Eastern Conference Finals. They haven't lost anyone significant to FA (I know Tony Allen left, but as good a defender as he was, he had no offense going for him) and the Big Three + 1 will have had enough time to rest, nurse injuries and KG finally will get back into pre 08/08 shape. When Perkins gets back, they will even be meaner and nastier than ever, especially in the soft East. It may be the in thing to hop of the South Beach bandwagon, but write off the Beantown Bullies at your peril.

    5. I do not think so, unfortunately. Boozer is not as good as you think he is, Derrick Rose still has a lot to learn as a point guard, Joakim Noah needs a bit more range in his offensive game and need I remind you the states of Massachusetts and Florida consist of NBA powerhouses? They can go deep into May though.

    6. We hope not. For John Wall's sake anyway:p

    7. Really. The West has gotten slightly weaker. The Lakers are obviously the grand titans, but who's left? An underachieving Denver team, an overrated Dallas side, an aging core of stars in San Antonio, a decimated Phoenix and Utah squad, as well as an explosive, upstart but inexperienced core of young'uns in Oregon. What's not to like in the West from the perspective of OKC? Durant will likely be a leading MVP candidate, and with the lessons learned from pushing the Lakers, they will hope to get in the top three seeds in the West, thereby avoiding the Lakeshow until probably the WCF.

    8. Maybe a 7th or 8th seed, but not much. They overpaid for an overrated power forward who couldn't defend a crippled veteran if his life depended on it. Don't look at his stats, watch his games. The Suns got to 6 against the Lakers because of their wing players and Robin Lopez. The Lakers' bigs owned him in every game but #3. He famously called L.O "lucky" after the latter spanked him for 19 points and 19 boards in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. That ain't luck, that's just him being better than you, STAT. Good guy Amare is, but unless they get Chris Paul, they don't have a prayer in the East.

    9. At this point, it is difficult to tell what will happen to A.I. None of the contending teams want anything to do with him because of his, well, issues. He still is good for 16 points and 5 dimes every night, but he will have to get such numbers. Most teams probably envision a reserve role for him if they are to bring him onboard, of which he has made clear he will not be interested in. More importantly, the distractions which might surround his presence in a young locker room, coupled with the Memphis disaster makes it unlikely that a young team like Portland, Atlanta or Minnesota. But as David Aldridge of NBA.com pointed out today, if a guard gets hurt, GMs might be forced to have a change of heart. But I will say this, you know the NBA has changed when the first two NBA MVPs of the millennium are as of yet unemployed.

    10. It is looking that way, folks. The consensus was that for much of the 2000s, the Western Conference was the tougher of the two, with its representatives going 7-3. With the Lakers, Spurs, Suns, Rockets, Mavs and to a lesser extent Hornets and Nuggets competitive doghouses during the decade, the conference Finals were often tougher the Finals themselves. But with the continued rise of Orlando, the new found magic in Miami and Chicago coupled with the steady competitiveness in Beantown, the West may find itself being branded as the "weak" conference.

Not really fond of the the idea, cause like I said, he's not the Shaq he used to be, but I'll give him a chance.

To be quite honest, I think your team desperately needed him at this point, considering all things going on with your team and the NBA right now.

He's going to help them out when you least expect it.

Any good man power is still man power. Like I said, I'll give him a chance.

I wish my other team would build a nice squad (I say this EVERY season).

Hey, at least you have Beantown, still. :smt056

They're as good as it's going to get.

When it comes to the NBA, New York is just a pipe dream, to be quite honest.

Yeah, you're only talking shit cause you won. I wish I knew you those 7 seasons when yawl didn't win shit, but I'll be the first one to admit the Knicks suck.

Even when we didn't win shit 7 seasons ago, we're still an NBA powerhouse.

    You can't take that away.

    Stats and history don't lie.

We are, and always will be, legendary.

    I know that!

That's why I give them credit.

Not once will you hear me say they suck. [IMG]

I just wanna beat them until their players are too old and retired and the team breaks up and fades for a while.

You gave them half assed credit with your, "It's as good as it's going to get" comment.

Beat them? Like we can't get some new blood and watch as RR gets greater and greater or like your team won't get old either. Please....dream on!

You took those words out of context.

In regards to having two favorite teams, Boston and New York, Boston is as good as it's going to get amongst your favorites.

    Yes, beat them.

Rondo is the future of that squad and you still have some young cats to carry on the legacy, so you're far from "done", for now.

Our team will also age, like all things living, and it's only a matter of time before our number one player retires. After that, I will concede with my boasting and fall back because I know it will be a very long time before we get another hall of fame player like him.

    Until then....:smt028
