Ebonics cant be codified, not even factoring in regional Black slang, if you were to create a dictionary of Ebonics it would be obsolete by time it went to press. Black slang is American English, it is a response to it and often operates in tandem with it, seeping into the mainstream and/or being recycled (ie..props). Ebonics caught on because it was just another contrived and far out excuse for failing students.

    LOL. yeah really.

I cant even believe we are talking about this. we have more pressing issues that needs to discussed such as "how much we love an apple shaped ass." , "the nice dick sucking lips we love on women" and the most important issue " where can a bro find a spot that ww hang out at that is a signal that they are open to IR" . These are the topics that must be discussed at length. these topics are to be discussed at the Weekly Macking Conference .

Ebonics has no requirements to be a language or even a dialect. Sorry.

The dictionary and its meanings are so far removed today, that why not make it its own language?

Miley Cyrus is a "diva". People involved in "reality" shows are "celebrities". A person can glue a tin can to a bucket and call it "art". Why not make Ebonics a "language" whilst we're at it?

No words carry any weight anymore, so who cares?

    Sarcasm font off.

The fact that you and others can discern the difference means that we should not give up...
