Good looking out PBT but I wonder how much play the bro will actually get because as to be expected the ladies are checking for the white dudes first. :? But we'll see...
Knowing Vegas, the black guy did get some IR action while he was filming this show. That's if he is interested in IR of course and, I have a feeling he is. It's all up to the producers to air what happens though so we'll just have to wait and see how they create the storylines based on the reality of all that Vegas wildness happening.
yea i finally caught the final episode the other day. allison munn is singing and wesley jonathan goes up to her and takes the microphone away and just starts making out with her. it was awesome.
Has anybody noticed more interraicial sightings on TV being done low key since Obama has been in office? Recently this past week I've noticed 3 on TV. One was on last weeks episode of American Dad, it showed a black guy walk across the screen with his arm around a white girl. The other day I noticed a commercial for a mortgage comercial advertising stimulus money. It showed a BM/WW together with wedding rings shown. They were in the commercial for like 5 seconds. I was surfing channels the other night and saw a infomercial for some loan company that showed 2 IR couples together. It looks like they are slowly sliding IR in low key without being obvious.
It's an old story though. Hollywood has been trying for years to slip it in without losing viewership with an audience who they know is against it. So they've figured out to do it in 5 second video bites or have the couples exist in the background of a scene. I notice this regularly on the daytime shows where a young wm/bw couple is sitting and talking at a table in a coffee house. Or a bm/ww couple comes into a nice restaurant to eat. But Hollywood can't through it in everyone's face knowing they have too much to lose in these weak economic times.
Did anybody see the UK TV show Dating in the Dark (LivingTV), last Tuesday? http://www.livingtv.co.uk/shows/dating-in-the-dark/video/ It featured an IR couple (Samuel & Charlene) hooking up. Charlene was pretty hot. For anybody that doesn't know the concept of the show: Dating in the Dark is a unique alternative series that asks the age-old question, "Is Love Blind?" Each week, three single men and three single women, all looking for love, will move into a house together, but be totally sequestered from the opposite sex. While they will have no chance of seeing each other in the light, they will have the opportunity to date in a completely dark room. Looks will be taken out of the equation as the men and women get to know each other and form bonds in total darkness. After several days of dating in the darkroom, the participants will select the one member of the opposite sex that they want to see revealed in the light. For the first time, the participants will see whom they've been dating, wooing, kissing, snuggling with and forming bonds with. And after they see each other in the light for the first time, they have to make the difficult decision...do they stay with the person they fell for in the dark, or leave them behind? QB
"The video you are trying to watch cannot be viewed from your country or location." Why does the UK prohibit Americans from viewing their online video content???
We do the same thing. Basically it is tv companies trying to shake us down for money. They could potentially reair it in the usa and make money from that so they block it. You can always look for the torrent. Season 2 of dating in the dark(U.S.) starts aug 9 at 10pm on ABC.
The American version of this was pretty good. It showed how men are more likely to say yes to a date than women. I'll have to watch the show uk version when I get the time. The Swedish version(original version) had no subtitles so I could not understand it.
In one episode for the american version, I saw that women like deeper voices. They ended up not choosing the guy because he was short. The height was a killer for a lot of women. I'm not talking about being 5'9 or 510. I'm talking about being 5'6 or shorter for men. In another version, a dude got all three women and got dumped by all three. It was awful for that guy. It seemed like some women really don't date on personality. The other thing was your culture. The women were pretty much white collared women. If you had a blue collared job then you weren't getting a chick. It was just an awesome show.
I like the fact the IR couple on the UK show were so compatible. It was obvious from the word go that they would get together. The follow up show confirmed that they were really into each other. Just shows that love is blind - literally!
While I wasnt able to find too much on the couple I did find a few things in my internet suring here are a few of Charlene's Modeling pics. Also seems see is no stranger to television dating shows and controversy. Apparently she appeared on another UK dating show Take Me Out. She was chosen by a black male contest Adam Fothergill. Here is some video links as well: http://www.facebook.com/posted.php?id=161199750538&share_id=248758481193&comments=1 The story doesnt end there. Apparently it came down to her and another contestant that happened to be black and it seems people didnt take too kindly to the guy choosing her over the black female. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/116385/New-TV-dating-show-s-first-lovebirds-branded-racist-/
I remember watching this show. I guess the ratings were bad cause I don't see it on anymore. I bet if they put this on like VH1 or E, it might do better. I thought the concept was interesting, although I couldn't do it.
