What's considered Black or White on this board?

The census box is not the demarcation of race, there is no racial demarcation in fact, much less anyone that one has to check. In many circumstances racial laws were actually color of law, much in the way Negroes had the lawful rights, it just that the White power structure didn't recognize or allow it.

each state had it's own rule (1/16th even) or no rule at all.

 

I know you didn't, but you made it seem like you're that one race, hence the 100%.

It's not clear cut when it comes to race. I mean yes, we can look at someone and say, yes they're Black, yes, they're White, but there's a big ole gray area for many.

I'm not talking solely about the Census, I'm referring to the unsaid rule of having to define yourself as something in America. I'm White, I'm Black, I'm whatever etc....It's not about having to so something, cause it's your choice, but we know the way things work around here.

 

and that is the scary part - I mean, what percentage of the world is mixed one way or another.. that percentage will grow as the world gets smaller. Why is it such a stigma to be mixed? Its effing disgiusting to me.

I mean, if your mixed - you get treated differently if you are percieved as black or white by others.. and still... there is no difference if your obviously mixed... so its all based on perception.... and depending on who you are talking to.
Its really exhausting to think of.

Yes, on a societal level, whether we even choose it, we will be defined along how we look and where we were born. There will always be different classifications, its up to us as a society to make sure all of those classifications of people are treated equally.....though it's much more complicated than that since some classifications are solely defined by there superior or inferior rank.
