It really depends on, how close this person is, that asks me. I would never ask as long as there is a real deep trust between us. I remember a thread here with the question would you be with some one, who is infected? As much as I remember, there was not one positive answer. All said- never. So I guess you need not to hope on any understanding.

It is always a risk- and if someone should really be infected, his life is in the hand of the other person. Not alone that one has to bear a positive result, you also have to manage with rejection and the fear that this person talks, what can destroy your whole social life and carreer..

I would only ask, if there is the question of a common baby. As soon as you have sex without condom, you are in a grey-zone. Everything is a question of trust. Even if one tests itself today negatively, one can be infectected tomorrow..
