    i never understand hip hop, it's crap music but i respect people taste


    i will go with R&B and reggae

    LOL Jesus anything to win an internet argument. Next time you go to a rock show let's see how many blacks you see there. A handful ALWAYS. I'm going to a rock show next weekend, I guarantee blacks will make up less than 3% of the audience if that. A couple guys like me and a hipster black chick hanging off a white boy. Shit I might even take pics.

    I can't help it if white people like African American music. I mean they are funding rap and hip hop too. That doesn't stop it from being a genre made by african americans.

    "Shake, Rattle and Roll" was originally recorded by Big Joe Turner.

    It is considered the first true Rock and Roll song. If one listens to this song by Big Joe Turner it should be very clear that this is the, or one of the, first true Rock and Roll songs. It sounds like a Rock and Roll song, not a Blues song. The beat is up tempo and the words and rhythm of the song depict the sounds and feelings of a true Rock and Roll song.
