Exciting time coming up for the NBA I am thinking on getting the package this year. Here's what we have to look forward to How's the LeBron thing gonna play out in Miami? Will the Lakers repeat? How bad will the Cavs be? Boston damn near got everyone back and added Jermaine O'Neil! Will Chicago finally do the damn thing? Will Gilbert Areans phuck up yet again? Will Oklahoma City be the truth this upcoming season? How much will the Knicks improve with Amare? Will Allen EYE get back into the league if so who's gonna pay him to play? Is the East officially and finally tougher than the West this year? For heads who don't know the real King of League represented to the fullest...
1. How's the LeBron thing gonna play out in Miami? They will do fine. Even make it deep into the playoffs but will come up short in the end because of the learning curve and lack of a bench. 2. Will the Lakers repeat? They already did. You mean 3peat? Yes they will barring major injury. 3. How bad will the Cavs be? Maybe a 40 win season. They still have some talent. 4. Boston damn near got everyone back and added Jermaine O'Neil! Boston will be the team that comes out of the East. 5. Will Chicago finally do the damn thing? They will finish with the 4th seed. 6. Will Gilbert Areans phuck up yet again? No but he is done. 7. Will Oklahoma City be the truth this upcoming season? This is the only team out West that can upset the Lakers as of now. 8. How much will the Knicks improve with Amare? They will be fighting for that 8th seed. Amare isn't a franchise player. He will not make them contenders. 9. Will Allen EYE get back into the league if so who's gonna pay him to play? I picture him going out like he did last year. He had such a promising career but wasted it by not improving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGDBR2L5kzI 10. Is the East officially and finally tougher than the West this year? I think it will be even. The Lakers are the only power house out West while the East will have Boston, Miami, Orlando, and maybe Chicago might squeeze in there. But 2-8 in the West will be better than 4-8.
1. How's the LeBron thing gonna play out in Miami? They will do fine. Even make it deep into the playoffs but will come up short in the end because of the learning curve and lack of a bench. I actually think they gonna meet the Laker show in the finals a-n-d lose. I think in late Jan early Feb the Heat will go on a ill run, something like 16, 17 games in a row.... 2. Will the Lakers repeat? They already did. You mean 3peat? Yes they will barring major injury. I concur but they cannot lose D. Fish 3. How bad will the Cavs be? Maybe a 40 win season. They still have some talent. East is too tough now, I don't think they'll win 30 games next season. Bryon Scott may resign and hook up with the Lakers after the 3-peat.. 4. Boston damn near got everyone back and added Jermaine O'Neil! Boston will be the team that comes out of the East. I would have never re-signed Ray Al. they needed to get younger at that position. You gotta start building around Rondo. I don't think they are the team to beat. They'll be slow and old during the season. If they can get in the offs somewhat healthy they may do damage AGAIN. Today, the Magic is the team to beat. 5. Will Chicago finally do the damn thing? They will finish with the 4th seed. Pretty much 6. Will Gilbert Areans phuck up yet again? No but he is done. Not sure if he's done, he needs a new city to play ball in 7. Will Oklahoma City be the truth this upcoming season? This is the only team out West that can upset the Lakers as of now. We'll see there was a time the Hornets were OKC and look what happened to them.. 8. How much will the Knicks improve with Amare? They will be fighting for that 8th seed. Amare isn't a franchise player. He will not make them contenders. Plays zeeeero phuckin D, not a huge fan of his especially since the Knicks don't have a point guard to get him the rock on the move 9. Will Allen EYE get back into the league if so who's gonna pay him to play? I picture him going out like he did last year. He had such a promising career but wasted it by not improving. I don't think he's gonna get any burn next year his career is in the dumper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGDBR2L5kzI 10. Is the East officially and finally tougher than the West this year? I think it will be even. The Lakers are the only power house out West while the East will have Boston, Miami, Orlando, and maybe Chicago might squeeze in there. But 2-8 in the West will be better than 4-8. I am gonna give the edge to the East slightly. Consider the Spurs are older, the Suns lost Amare and a few other notable players in the East left weaker teams to get with stronger Eastern teams.
Veteran Barnes signs with Lakers Barnes Veteran swingman Matt Barnes, one of the most coveted free agents left on the open market, will play for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers announced Thursday they had signed the free-agent forward. Terms were not disclosed; Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Barnes agreed to a two-year contract worth $3.6 million. "Its official I AM A LOS ANGLES LAKER. I wanna thank u for all ur patients and understanding. This is a dream come true!!! Good lookn Kobe," said a post on the seven-year veteran's Twitter feed. The deal is significantly less than the one he reportedly agreed to with the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Barnes announced Monday night via his Twitter feed that he was headed to Toronto. But that deal quickly unraveled when it became apparent that the limited sign-and-trade options available to Orlando -- Barnes' last team -- would not allow for the contract that Barnes was anticipating. Under the impression that he would be receiving a two-year contract worth roughly $9 million, Barnes tweeted his thanks to Magic fans after announcing that he'd be "playing for the Toronto Raptors" next season. The Magic are prevented by salary-cap rules from starting a sign-and-trade deal for Barnes at higher than $1.9 million, because Orlando doesn't have Barnes' full Bird rights after employing him for only one season. A sign-and-trade deal would also have to span at least three years, although only the first year is required to be guaranteed. Since Toronto recently spent the bulk of its $5.8 million mid-level exception to sign Linas Kleiza, it did not have the available funds to sign Barnes outright to a deal that starts in the neighborhood of $4 million. Barnes will be joining his eighth NBA team in returning to Los Angeles where he played for four years for UCLA. He has averaged 7.3 points, with a career high of 10.2 for Phoenix during the 2008-09 season. Barnes started 58 games last year for Orlando in his only season with the Magic after a hard recruiting push from center Dwight Howard, averaging 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. The 30-year-old originally signed a two-year deal with Orlando but exercised his option to become a free agent after playing for $1.6 million in 2009-10. Shannon Brown's agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Dave McMenamin that Barnes' signing does not change things in Brown's negotiations with the Lakers but with 11 players now under contract for the Lakers and the remaining two roster spots considered earmarked for the team's two second-round draft picks, it would appear that Brown will not be returning to L.A. 15-year veteran Ratliff signs with Lakers Ratliff The Los Angeles Lakers added depth along the front line by signing Theo Ratliff, the team announced on Thursday. The 37-year-old played 49 games last season with San Antonio and Charlotte, averaging 3.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. He revived his career while starting 26 games with the Bobcats, averaging 5.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.54 blocked shots. He has averaged 7.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.45 blocks and 25.5 minutes in his 15-year NBA career with the Pistons, 76ers, Hawks, Trail Blazers, Timberwolves, Spurs and Bobcats. "I've had a long and very rewarding career, and joining a storied and legendary franchise such as the Lakers adds an even more special element," Ratliff said in a statement released by the team. "I look forward to playing for Coach Jackson and with great players such as Kobe [Bryant], Derek [Fisher], Pau [Gasol], Lamar [Odom] Ron Artest, Andrew Bynum and all my other new teammates, and hopefully to helping the Lakers win a third straight championship." Ratliff said he'll join the two-time defending NBA champions as a backup to Gasol and Bynum. Ratliff has always seemed to find a home due to his shot-blocking ability. He ranks 18th in NBA history with 1,963 blocks and led the league three times. "Theo has long been considered to be one of the best defensive big men in the league," Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak. "He is a consummate professional and a welcome addition to our team. Together with Bynum, Gasol, Odom and Artest, he gives us a formidable and deep front line." Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/news/story?id=5402710
