Wow what a stupid post. This is a place for discussion. Arch made a statement that he/she "didnt care". And that is a disturbing trend in this country. A lot of people dont care about whats going on around the border and the problems with illegal immigrations as well.

And I already know how you're gonna respond to my post.

karmacoma "Well shit, u r da one sitting around by your computer, why dont u go and protect da border urself homie?!?!"

Uhhh do you even know what apathy means?

Apathy (also called impassivity or perfunctoriness) is a state of indifference, or the suppression of emotions such as concern, excitement, motivation and passion.

You dont care about this issue and are indifferent to it. Therefore you are clearly being apathetic towards illegal immigration and the violence along the border.
But dont worry, you're not alone. Tons of Americans dont care either and Mexico loves them for it.;)

    (sigh)

FTR, I hope you dont think I am attacking you. You are a good poster, its just I get a little antsy with this whole illegal immigration thing. Mexico is seriously pissing me off (as well as our wimpy Federal Government):smt076

I am not apathetic to this. I simply can't do anything about it. I even explained it in another post to raul. I don't have the suppression of emotions. Hopeless is pretty good emotion that I have for the other states. Being in a border state, I know more about this issue than most. Difficult to have apathy when you are smack dab in the problem.

naaa, look this thing is affecting my state too. I don't think the government will deal with it until maybe the next term. In that term, Obama doesn't have any worries. I do think the borders on the south west need to be placed in and we need a better system of determining who can work and who can't. That is what is giving these problems. Employers not hiring only american citizens. I just now have a hopeless feeling because I haven't seen anything done and I see an amnesty coming just like reagan.

It's a problem that's coming to you regardless where you live.

This is not the specific topic, but can anyone name a job/career that they would actually consider doing/switching to that an illegal immigrant does/has?

There are plenty of them like construction. People are more desperate now than ever to find a job.
