Mel Gibson Reportedly Leaving United States

Mel Gibson is reportedly fleeing the growing tape-scandal in the U.S. to move back to Australia.

Mail Online reported that Gibson is selling his mansion in Greenwich, Conn. The paper claims he sold the mock Tudor property, known as Old Mill Farm, for $24 Million. He had listed the property as long ago as 2007. It was first listed for $39.5 million. Gibson has also reportedly put his Malibu home, Lavender Hill Farm, on the market for $15 million.

The paper claims a source close to the family said: "Oksana’s allegations have united Mel and Robyn and this move is her idea." He has reportedly told friends that he will move back with his ex-wife Robyn, who still supports him. Gibson, 54, is ready to contest the allegations of Oksana Grigorieva, 40, who claims he punched her and hurt their baby, Lucia, in a drunken rage in January. The paper did not get a comment from a Gibson spokesman.
