Don't you work at an insurance company? Seek out the actuary dept. and pick their brains. If you don't find an answer then I would be glad to email questions to my friends. He has worked for all the biggies. AIG, Nationwide, Hartford and Aon.

What's funny is at State Farm or "the Farm" as the nerds call it, there's so much division between the departments. At least at my office.

What might be fun is the FBI, I was reminded of that the other day when I saw an article. With your B.A., CPA in hand, take a test the FBI provides & you might find your self as a sort 'forensic accountant.' I know of two people that are doing this and love their jobs.

    I though about it myself.

I actually got an offer to do a job like that back in 08 for the U.S. Border Patrol but didn't follow through because I didn't want to leave my gf at the time. I don't regret it because I would have had to be a federal agent assigned to border duty and that's when the drug wars started spilling over. Its like Iraq over there right now so I'm happy I'm here.

Schooling in New York, I cant complain. Some of the best universities are located here. Jobs/employment is so so. We have alot of unemployment. 9% overall in NY. 15% of black men are unemployed. I have a feeling once I graduate, its gonna be a bitch finding work. So i'm a little worried

nope. You just have to be real good at math and have a degree close to it. It is very boring though!
