Well I don't often think of my sister as meat, or pretty much ever actually. :smt018 Besides which it's gonna take her a while to deal with all this, she's all 'he says he'll never get over this, I feel so guilty, what if I break him for life' right now. My response, well if this does him in then he's a pussy. Moving on.

Not like there's anything you could do, but that would make me feel awful LA. I hit a squirrel and I get all tore up, even though they're just well dressed rats, but a cat or dog would make me literally sick.

That is not nice BA... but it is funny, even though I feel bad for laughing.

Sorry Espy. Wasn't trying to be cruel, or anything. Just speaking from experience. It sucks running a cat over, and it sucks smelling the next day when you drive past it and it doesn't get cleaned up(from experience). I don't want to get in an accident because I try to swerve outta the way of an animal, and cats just happen to be the main culprits.

Oh I wasn't bitching at you BA, I actually know you're absolutely right, you're never supposed to swerve to miss a cat. An ex-boyfriend did that in high school, rolled his car, and ended up in a full body cast. The **bump** **bump** actually did make me laugh. Sometimes you are so on the mark it's just really amusing.

Damn, that sucks about your ex. Full body cast, damn.

I always tell myself that if I see an animal, I'm not gonna swerve, because it puts other drivers at risk, but it's a reaction that most people probably can't control, because the first thing in their mind is "avoid this thing". I always end up swerving.

5 years? Least they could do is send you on a cruise. Hell hardly anyone makes it more than a year now days. Someone who passes the one year mark is a 'long-term employee'.

That is certainly true with my Oncology department.
    5 years is super senior!!!!

Me too, but really for smaller animals you should. Now cows, horses, and deer on the other hand, you really want to do everything you can to avoid them. Hitting a full grown cow or deer will really f-up your vehicle, not to mention it may not kill the animal and then you feel bad if you can't kill it to put it out of it's misery. We always had shotguns and rifles in a gun rack in the pickup when I was a kid, but that's kinda frowned on in metropolitan areas, so shooting them isn't an option. I hate to watch anything suffer.

LOL, I really shouldn't say anything cause I get that statement all the time from my oldest sister. (She lives in Seattle.) I'm use to tackling problems on my own and problems that are normally consider very big, I don't really talk about it at all. But my sisters usually can tell if something is going on, and so I usually don't talk about it and they are like "You better tell me what's going on, don't make me come out there" hahaha. Sorry, I guess I'm just on the other end of the spectrum.

But just think about it this way, imagine the happiness it brings to your family members when you help handle their problems? We're a society that focuses on self independence and self success, but often people are different like we have different threshold. So it's always good to have people that you can rely
on when the cards are down you know? This was what I taught and I kinda wrap that within me. The only issue is me asking for help hahaha. But in a way, I'm kinda like you, a fixer. But not just to family members, but people who I think are like family. Like one who I few like family, she was going to concert in LA with but she didn't have money. Her pops couldn't pay cause
he was saving for her eurotrip she's having now. SO I asked her how much was the ticket and she told me it was $165, so I went to the ATM, took out the money and handed it to her. She was shocked, like why? And I told her I wouldn't her to have her friends experience the concert and she couldn't (she was going to try and sneak in.)

So in a way, I'm like you, a fixer. So perhaps what might help is the amount of happiness your giving those you care about when your helping them fix their problems. We all need each other you know?

That is nice that you have the space and get along well enough to offer her a place to stay in the interim. I hope things work out for her.

Wouldn't matter if we got along or not, I couldn't not help her out Jordan, but fortunately she's the one sibling I get along with great. I've got plenty of space, so it's really not like it's an imposition either. The only downside is she has 2 cats and I'm allergic to them, or at least I was, haven't been around a cat in probably 20 years. But if it's still bad, I'll just go take the allergy shots. She offered to leave them with her Ex, but she's losing enough right now, I'm not going to make her give up anything she doesn't have to. It's only for 6 months anyway, I can deal with anything for 6 months.

I know what you mean. My parents had a piano the whole time I was growing up. They sold it a few years ago, and I've been missing it lately.

I used to love to just sit and play it.
