They're cutting their manpower, so they won't be able to respond to lower crimes as they normally would. I guess, this is their way of playing hardball with their state/federal governments. Chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situations that his officers no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, vehicle collision, identity theft and vandalism. He says if you live in Oakland and one of the above happens to you, you need to let police know online. so tell them online. Good luck Oakland!
i know...that's some real gangster shit some of the crimes i understand....but grand theft and burglary, that's some BS you best believe if I lived in Oak, id buy my own guns and lock it down like Iraq.
if the PD won't do anything for my fam' I will hopefully Oak isn't as black as New Orleans..that will really look bad... Kinda like the lackluster response to Katrina and cries of racism guess we just gotta sit back and watch this one from the outside, and see how bad things get.
That's exactly my first thought, folks who can afford them, will buy heaters, and shooting will rise, it's going to get tepid around there. I mean I would buy a gun too, actually I would buy several.
