Jesse's had no cred for almost decades now. Since Bush 41 days, at least.

    interesting metaphor

Jesse wouldn't be the first person to call professional black athletes 'million dollar slaves' tho

if that's the case, we're all still slaves in a way (whether it is to a job, a social situation, finance, etc)...but at least athletes have a ton of money to boot...so i don't see what's so bad about that

    ;)

Whitlock is actually a half-wit who at times can come up with a good argument for an article and articulate it well. Being blunt though doesn't make him a good writer.

Btw to be fair to him I have not read his thoughts on Jesse's thoughts about LeBron. Don't care. Didn't even know Jesse threw himself into the debate in the first place although I suppose I should not be surprised.

Yeah I have heard people draw the comparison between sports and slavery. But Jesse is a race baiter. He and Rev. Al are nothing more than self promoters, who are stuck in 1960. What really bothers me about those two is many white people think that Jesse and Al are spokesmen for black people. Like their opinions are the shared by most black people. But they don't realize that most black people can care less about them. They make us look bad.

Jesse Jackson is like a black version of Rush Limbaugh. They’re BOTH attention whores.

Why? I seldom do Black Athletes speak out. Why? They don't wanna get slapped down by management. Your job is to play ball, not commentate on political or social matters.

This is why Black America is disjointed, Ali spoken out constantly and all the time and Cosell gave him the platform to speak his mind, is he any less famous or have less money?

We live in a PC society and its done nothing but damage. As I said elsewhere on the net, Black America (those not being stupid) is too worried about personal wealth than cultural/societal prosperity.

Jessie Jackson is not irrelevant, you allow the White media to pick your leaders -

Jesse has been useless for me for the last 20 years and made cruel comments toward the president.
