Washing Away the Pollution

Pollution is one of the worst threats faced by the world today. The growing volume of harmful gases in the atmosphere is slowly eroding the earth and causing widespread climatic changes. It has also resulted in various health hazards. It has become necessary to make some radical changes in the usage of fossil fuels for energy. The government of various countries is trying to promote this cause by encouraging the usage of renewable sources of energy.

Among the renewable sources of energy, the ocean energy power has emerged as one of the fastest growing renewable energy technologies. It is also the most viable option of renewable energy today. Ocean energy is present in the tides, waves and the ocean water temperature difference. When the tides and the waves occur, it carries a great deal of force. This force or power can be amicably utilized to create energy or electricity.

The energy from the ocean can also be produced from the temperature difference in the ocean water. The surface water of the ocean is hotter than the water below the surface. This temperature difference can be utilized to produce electricity. The promising prospects of the ocean energy have led to more Tidal Power Investment in recent years.

 

ummm Some of us don't leave near oceans. We need that energy that holds that atoms together. Get on that stat flying geek. I still haven't gotten my chemistry degree so I am counting on you until I do.
