Reggie defends Black women, or pays deference to Black women, or contradicts/debates other posters about this, that and the other. He doesn't seem to have any interest discussing his attraction to White Women on this site. When I point out the behavior of other trolls, it this Aw shucks play the fool, I didn't know about other trolls or why you call me reggiebush....and all the grief he gets on here he believes comes from not sharing some consensus opinion ....Reggie stays playing the contrarian

This isn't true. My ex g/f is a blonde(carpet and all) and she changed her hair to brunette. Does that mean she isn't proud to be a blonde? no, she just likes different styles.

Also about the africans, It is true that their were weaves and perming but the eurpoean community wasn't doing it either. The funny thing is a black woman was the one that made the perming in use now.

Lastly, I live in a mostly black community. I have natural hair but some people(black people) seem to not have seen an afro in their life. Notice how so many black guys shave their head. are they not proud either?

Actually Chi there are a lot of things that I agree with that you, karma, and homosexual says but I think when they say things like "all black women are...."to me is just being bias. You talk about the cliches that I throw around about BM and WW, but I never hear you or any other person on here challenge the cliches Karma and homosexual says are cliche about BW.

What I find about people is they don't mind hearing the positive stereotypes about a particular group they belong to, but when a negative stereotype is thrown out there then that is when people like to complain and say that's not true. When some of the black men on here say WW are better partners, they take care of their men better, etc I don't hear you complain about that. This is a stereotype even if it is one that you want to believe is a fact. But when someone says most black men date fat WW then that person must be a troll or using classic BW talking points.

To be honest this stereotype is probably the most factual of all these IR stereotypes at least in America. Why? Because about 58% of WW in America are over weight. So chances are if a black man gets with a WW she will probably be overweight. You could probably also say that most WM are with overweight WW. But as bad as that 58% is for WW, it is even worse for black women at a whooping 82% for BW. To me the 82% is worse than the 58% for two reasons. For one 82 is just a much bigger number than 58. But secondly there is research that suggest that black Americans are born with greater lean muscle mass than their White and Asians counterparts. So if BW are born with a advantage in terms of body composition and they still lose to WW by 24% points just shows how lazy BW are. So I think a better stereotype would be black men like overweight women. Doesn't matter if they are black, white, hispanic, etc.

How do you know that I don't like my GF? What did I say that was so horrible?

A girl being "proud" of her blonde hair is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

Errrmm, that is incorrect. That is unfortunately something that have existed for many centuries, in pretty much every culture.. Asian, Indian, Hispanic, European - you name it.

why is that? Is that any more ridiculous than being happy to be nappy?

No it doesn't mean she isn't a proud of her hair. The same way if I see an individual black girl wearing a weave doesn't mean she isn't proud of her appearance but if I walk down the street and see no black girl wearing her hair naturally it makes me wonder if something else is at play.

Black people didn't start perming and relaxing their hair because Europeans were doing it. They started to relaxing and bleaching their skin to fit in better with white people. This still goes on today. I've asked black professional women why they don't wear their hair naturally and they say because they won't be able to get a job or a man. Black men look down on BW with natural hair so of course they are not going to be proud of it.

Your last paragraph is an interesting point.

You got to remember that this 82% is 82% of 13% of the United States' population which is pretty small against the 58% of 85% of the country's population. The sad thing is we are all getting fatter I think. This is one of the good things Michelle Obama is doing. Trying to get Americans back in shape. It is sad when I can say at every walmart that I go to that I can find at least one obese(I mean HUGE. so big that even the fat people say she is too big.) person

Being proud of any hair color is silly.

There are several answers to why black women perm their hair. My mother and sister follow status quo. It is true it is a lot harder to get a job with an afro but there are other styles that africans have made that you can use(dreadlocks, twist, etc) so that comment doesn't fly to well. I am still waiting for flaminghetero to make a comment about Sharpton. lol

I am aware of that. But I was referring to the light skin vs dark skin in the black community. This did not exist until the White slave master started raping the BW to create these mixed race people, which were treated slight better than the field negro. Which has caused animosity between dark skin and light skin blacks since then. West Africans (where most American black come from) are very dark skin and wore their hair short. Those African men weren't saying I need long hair, thick, redbone. Or the African women weren't putting in weaves or were scared to go outside out of fear for getting "darker". All this changed during slavery when white people made black people ashamed of being black.

But I guess history is written by the victors. Just imagine if everything were reversed. Africans traveling to Europe and enslaving them and forcing Europeans to build America. Instead of the blonde, hair, blue eyes being the standard of beauty for women, the dark skin short hair Alex Wek would be the standard. BM and WW would be much more accepted and WM/BW would be seen as the great Taboo. But I guess this scenario is being played out in an alternate universe somewhere.

I agree BW could wear other styles but it is so ingrained to perm and relax their hair that to do anything different would be very strange to them.

WW perm, straighten, and color their hair too. I'd venture to say the majority of WW do something unnatural to their hair. I honestly don't know anyone who doesn't.

Natural BW are always telling other BW to go natural too, but some don't want to.

    A "WWBM.COM stereotype"? No, I don't think so.

Robin Thicke has an easily provable BW fan base. It's more than a "couple girls."

I don't know about "jumping jacks" but if you've never heard how much BW like Robin Thicke then you simply haven't been around enough BW when his name has been brought up in conversation. If you were, you would hear the admration.

Robin Thicke is a fairly attractive WM who sings R&B AND is married to a BW. He has his black wife in his videos. His entire image is portrayed as suave and romantic. He's constantly paired with BW R&B singers in concert. You think an artist like that isn't going to have a BW fanbase? You think his appeal is only to WW? lol

As far as Gabriel Aubrey is concerned, he's been downgraded a bit since the break up but BW loved the shit out of him when he and Halle were together.
Nowadays opinions on him may be pretty mixed, but if you check any type of forum or internet chatter before the breakup BW were overwhelmingly positive.

only if you dont wash your hair. any person that doesnt keep clean and then they get their hair wet will stink, it is not exclusive to race.

I think that steotpye may have took flight from the movie roots where they refer to white people as smelling like wet chickens but never smelt a wet chicken so i couldnt tell you.
