    Nope.

Although I'm bad about talking to myself out loud and someone told me once that it's not a bad thing until you start answering yourself... well not only do I answer myself, I chastise and cuss at myself :smt107

My answer is yes. I feel less pressure.

Before dating black guys I thought I was horrible and I was stressing over weight etc, now I have a different idea of myself and I appreciate my body more. My standards about women in general have changed too.
I feel less pressure about my body and I'm authomatically losing weight. It's crazy. :)

I understand the cultural differences white males and minorities perceive with regards to body shape, but why should your partner affect your perception of your own weight?

It shouldn't, but I think some women take their partner's feeling about their physical appearance more to heart. I think it's also somewhat normal to want to please your partner, and so if you know he prefers a certain body type, you might be more inclined to try to meet that desire. With regard to the OP's question, I think what he's getting at is that there appears to be a general perception that most WM seek out stick-thin women, women who mirror the models you see on runways, a.k.a. androgynous women. There appears to be an equally general perception that most BM like a woman with some curves. Hence the OP's question. The answer depends on the woman and how comfortable she is with herself, whether she has good self-esteem. You take a woman who isn't happy with her body and more than likely it doesn't matter who else likes it, she's still going to feel self-imposed pressure to want to change it.

I think the stress made you uptight and you probably folded ( i dont want to make it sound like you are a weak person because you are not. the people that put the pressure on you are weak). It was unneeded pressure.

as a man if my woman needed to lose weight it was because of the health issue and THEN the looks. me..im kinda liberal about it all

I hate to say this but that it is to their detriment when it comes that way

Well said...for many reasons this is true, hormones play a huge part in that....damn hormones!

Yes and some people place entirely too much stock in what other people think, what other people look like, what other people have that they don't. They waste time trying to be someone they're not, or achieve some unrealistic ideal of perfection they've set for themselves, instead of just embracing who they are. Of course it is still nice to have someone in your life who always reminds you of your better traits, and tells you that they love you just as you are. Despite how hard some people try to fit in, or stand out, I think most just really want someone to tell them that they're fine the way they are. Sadly, I think a lot of people just never get that.

That doesn't give any excuse for any WW to become fat and sloppy because her black partner could care less about her weight.

a study shows there is a good amount of fat to have around the thighs and waist for women. I saw it on the joy behar show. that black doctor on the celebrity fit club was talking about it
