Ian Gillans voice was crazy good.
yeah foo fighters are pretty good... when you look back and remember how this guy (Dave Grohl)was a 'drummer' for Nirvana, only to become the 'front man' in another popular band (Fighters)....you become reminded of Steve Young's ascension to glory when Montana left the 'Niners. The guy is talented.
yea, except he was roger craig with nirvana... and steve young with the foo. main man has never rode the bench. lol
"Don't Eat The Children" / "Abra Cadaver" - BLOODROCK From Fort Worth, Texas, this 1970's ensemble was most renowned for the jam "D.O.A." I, however, prefer the bombastic "Don't Eat The Children"...and as a special added bonus ya get "Abracadaver" thanx to the YouTube contributor. "The REFLEX" (12" Extended Remix Version) Thank Producer NILE (CHIC) RODGERS & Engineer JASON CORSAIRIO for this BE-ALL END-ALL version...the ONLY worth-a-damn one for MY money! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
"Mad About You" - BRUCE RUFFIN NOT related to the Detroit-born RUFFINS of MOTOWN fame (JIMMY and The Much Regretted DAVID), THIS "Ruffin" is from England via Jamaica. Heluva big hit in 1971. Though it's now known as a 'reggae' tune, it got much more airplay & promotion as a "pop" tune...Hell, it even had the honour of being done as a 'cover version' of sorts via a rendition on the "BENNY HILL" programme... "All Right Now" - FREE From 1970, this is the BE-ALL-END-ALL of their entire repertoire .. A Signature Tune of sorts, if you will.. 'Nuff Said!!!! I'm at a *loss* here, Fellow Minions.... Not *one* mention of the STELLAR ensemble known as FISHBONE here... "MODERN INDUSTRY" 'Nuff Said!!!! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
Two from BRUCE RUFFIN "RAIN" - A cover of a Jose Feliciano classic (I never have, bbelieve it or not, heard J.F.'s original...*yet!* THIS one does it for *me!*) "SAVE THE PEOPLE" - The "B"-Side of his 1971 smash single "MAD ABOUT YOU" And we wrap up for tonight with another cover version that *excelled* beyond the original's station, IMO. This one from JEFF LYNNE And The ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, with CHUCK BERRY'S classic, "ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN" OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
